Synopsis (Goodreads):
Sent on a mission to backwards Earth, alien physician Kalen never expected to find his destined mate. Meridan's alluring scent, soft curves and the fire in her spirit call to him the way no female ever has. She is his destined mate. He’s certain of that.

Fierce and independent, nurse Meridan was never interested in settling down, with a human or an alien, especially not the arrogant, rude and devastatingly sexy medic Kalen.

How far will Kalen go to claim the woman he loves when the rules between his planet and hers prevent him from doing just that?

After a terrifying attack leaves Meridan near death, Kalen breaks the rules to save her and bind them together as mates.

How will Meridan and Kalen find common ground before the universe tears them apart forever?
Thoughts on Kalen: Warlord brides, man. They don't have it easy. Actually, they sort of do once they get around the mental block of being matched sight unseen to an alien, but that mental block is a BIG hump to get over. For some of them, at least.

Thanks to her medical exemption, Meridian thinks she's safe from being matched. Sure, the new alien doc making the rounds at the station might be easy on the eyes, but he's arrogant and irritating and Meridian's glad she won't end up with someone like him.

Except...oopsies. She does end up with him. Considering she was healed and tested without her say-so, she's a little bit prickly about that. As you can imagine.

On his end, Kalen has to make a few adjustments to having a mate in his life. Not the least of which being that humans are emotional and things aren't black and white to them. Especially when it comes to those they feel responsible for.

No lie, I can't wait to see how the enigmatic assassin works his magic on his lady.
