Synopsis (Goodreads):
First off, the bad guy aliens are groooosssssssss. So gross. Like, oozing pustules gross. Yuck. Secondly, abducting humans and throwing them into a habitat only to watch them get picked off by other abductees seems like a bad business model. But this scenario does put Athena and Xul into each other's orbit and I'm 100% okay with that.
Speaking of which, Athena and Xul. She's determined to fight until she can't anymore. He's determined to make the bad guys pay for past crimes. When things happen that throw them together, he finds her spunk and fighting spirit something to admire. (You know, humans might look weak, but they have untapped reserves they can call on when needed and that always impresses our alien dudes.)
Gross aliens. Hunky aliens. Forced proximity on a hostile and dangerous planet. Sexy times. A little danger. I kinda dug Xul and his resistance fighters and the other human women dropped into this weird world. Good stuff!

Synopsis (Goodreads):
Athena wakes up in hell.Thoughts on Xul: Yessssss. Aliens and the ladies who capture their hearts. As always, I'm in! (The heart-capturing comes after the actual capturing but all ends up well, as you can imagine.)
Well…it’s an alien slave ship, but it might as well be hell because she only has three choices.
Mate. Become a sex slave. Or be killed.
Great options.
Desperate for freedom, a chance for survival is presented in the handsome rogue alien called Xul.
But Xul is caught up in problems of his own and a mission he cannot afford to let fail—one that could be easily compromised if he dared open his heart.
That doesn't leave her with many options and it doesn't help that she finds him utterly frustrating...
...and strong, hot, irresistible…
She shouldn’t really be thinking about him like that. Should she?
