Synopsis (Goodreads):
Life is busier than ever for Innkeeper, Dina DeMille and Sean Evans. But it’s about to get even more chaotic when Sean's werewolf mentor is kidnapped. To find him, they must host an intergalactic spouse-search for one of the most powerful rulers in the Galaxy. Dina is never one to back down from a challenge. That is, if she can manage her temperamental Red Cleaver chef; the consequences of her favorite Galactic ex-tyrant's dark history; the tangled politics of an interstellar nation, and oh, yes, keep the wedding candidates from a dozen alien species from killing each other. Not to mention the Costco lady.

They say love is a battlefield; but Dina and Sean are determined to limit the casualties!
Thoughts on Sweep of the Heart: I've consistently enjoyed Dina and Sean's innkeeping shenanigans, so I expected to be at entertained by the wildness that happens at Gertrude Hunt. I mean, I've liked all the books in this series to the point of diving into rereads every so often, so it seemed like a no-brainer. NO LIE, THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. I don't know if it's because we got to see some deep, DEEP political maneuvering during the spouse selection or if it was how Dina and Sean seem so in tune with each other and the Inn, but WOW. LOVED IT HARD.

So. To gain access to a portal that can help Dina and Sean save Sean's mentor, they agree to host a volatile spouse selection for the Dominion. Which is problematic in itself because Dina's first (and most notorious guest) has ties to the Dominion. Yeah. There's a lot of potential for very bad things to happen there, but we get answers, my friends. GLORIOUS, glorious answers.

Along with the potential danger to the Inn's permanent guest, there are also assassins, behind the scenes skullduggery, a George sighting, lots and lots of magic, the issue of the corrupted Innkeepers, and the rock-solid relationship between Dina and Sean. Oh, and those answers. We get hints and slips and little pieces to questions that have been plaguing Dina since the beginning. While things aren't all laid out plainly, there are things happening that make be cautiously optimistic for what the future might bring to Dina, Sean, and Gertrude Hunt. GOOD STUFF all around.
