Duke in Search of a Duchess (Regency Bon Bons #1)
Date Read: March 5, 2022
Synopsis (Goodreads):
The meticulous Duke of Ashford is dismayed when his children inform him they've asked the young widow next door to find him a new wife. Ash can't think of a more appalling assistant than Helena Courtland, gossipy busybody he steadfastly avoids. But Helena sweeps into his home and his life before he can stop her, turning Ash's precisely ordered world into a chaotic whirlwind, and stealing his heart.
Thoughts on Duke in Search of a Duchess: Ash is stuck in a bit of a rut. As in, he rigidly structures his time and actions and doesn't deviate from that schedule. Until his children sort of force him to by asking the widowed next door neighbor to help them find their father a wife.

Because Helena? She's a little slice of chaos that disrupts his schedule and burrows into his head. Even though he tries very hard to pretend the last thing isn't true. Instead he tries to ignore her and how she makes him feel until he absolutely can't anymore.

Fast, sweet, and fun. *thumbs up*

A Kiss for Luck (Regency Bon Bons #2)

Date Read: May 9, 2022
Synopsis (Goodreads):
Avowed bachelor Lord Guy Lovell vows no interest in the married state. But when thrice-widowed Gemma Cooke rushes into his sanctuary, needing rescue from a boorish swain, Guy’s outlook changes abruptly.

Gemma, having lost three husbands, purportedly because of her amorousness, has no intention of wedding a fourth time. Lord Guy provides a buffer against gentlemen with dishonorable intentions, and she looks forward to having him at her side.

When Gemma’s aunt suggests Guy as the perfect husband for Gemma’s beloved stepdaughter, Gemma realizes her friendship with Guy has become something more, and the heart she thought long dormant will soon be broken.
Thoughts on A Kiss for Luck: Guy, the man who sort of forced Ash to face his feelings for Helena, is up next and he's...actually, it doesn't take too much convincing for him to realize he likes everything about Gemma. In fact, it takes longer for Gemma to come around to the idea of getting involved with anyone again, much less decide to marry them. After all, three marriages and three dead husbands are a lot for anyone to deal with.

But Gemma (with the not-so-subtle help of some of her friends and family) figures things out. By that, I mean she realizes that Guy means much more to her than she ever expected and she'd be wrecked if she lost him. So she does what she needs to do and lets him know that.

Another fast, sweet, and fun one!

Along Came a Prince (Regency Bon Bons #3)

Date Read: May 9, 2022
Synopsis (Goodreads):
Sonia Broadbent is astonished to discover that the suitor she believed was the dullest man in creation turns out to be a prince in hiding. Dominik Laszlo Townsend, who took the surname of his foster family, has been incognito in England for years, hiding his true identity from his enemies. The only light in his life is visiting Sonia, where he absorbs her beauty while pretending to be the very tedious Mr. Townsend.

A shocking kiss opens Sonia’s eyes to the vibrant man beneath the facade, but is there anywhere safe in the world where she can fall in love with Prince Dominik?
Thoughts on Along Came a Prince: A prince in hiding and a lady who's waiting for the right man to come along. While it DEFINITELY wasn't love at first sight on Sonia's end, Dominik can't say the same. He's felt something for Sonia from the first time they met. However, with the issues he's dealing with, he doesn't want to put her in danger so he tucks his like down deep and pretends to be just another of her suitors. A rather boring suitor, at that.

It isn't until they share a kiss that Sonia realizes there's a lot more to the man who's been coming around the house to call than banal talk about the weather. In fact, Dominick's kiss shows Sonia she might be missing out on something incredible if she's not careful.

A little political intrigue, a prince trying to lay low, a lady on a mission, and a few familiar faces. Good stuff all around.
