Synopsis (Goodreads):
Charlotte McBee knows she’s in for a challenge when she accepts a job as midwife for a dragon and a phoenix shifter. Being a fairy herself, it isn’t the supernatural world that scares her. It’s the thought of delivering a giant metal dragon’s egg, which has her gritting her teeth in pain for poor Jillian, the anxious mother-to-be.

While preparing for the big event, a handsome town resident catches her eye. Leonard is kind, charming, and a little bit mysterious. He’s also suffering from a highly unusual condition brought on by an ancient fairy curse, and he’s too wary of Charlotte to allow her to get close.

Will love overcome fear before the end of her assignment?
Thoughts on One Fine Fae: We're back in Mystic Bayou and the town's prepping for the birth of Jillian and Bael's half dragon/half phoenix kidling. Which brings Charlotte into town. Charlotte, who's fae and is charmed by the endearingly clumsy Leonard. Given that Leonard's family has been fae-cursed, he's less charmed by her.

Except that's not quite right. He's tongue-tied around Charlotte and likes her more than he thinks he should considering she's fae. His understandably gun-shy given the curse hanging over his family about getting involved or even thinking fondly of the pretty fae.

Fortunately for him, Charlotte believes in facing things head on and she gets to the bottom of what's bothering him and they manage to carve out some time to get to know one another. You know, around the birth of the dragon/phoenix baby and Leonard dodging his archnemesis in the office.

Mystic Bayou is a wonderfully odd place, isn't it?
