Synopsis (Goodreads):
This cyborg believes he’s in control.

Power is the self-appointed leader of the cyborg council. Other members might debate situations. He makes the ultimate decisions.

When a threat to the Homeland is revealed, he takes command of a fleet and ventures to the edge of cyborg-controlled space to investigate. He finds a rebellion led by a mysterious upstart he calls Cadet.

The plan Power derives is simple—he’ll quickly quash the uprising and teach its leader a lesson the warrior will never forget.

NO ONE challenges his authority.

Eirene Ours might have been called a cadet by Power but she is NOT his subordinate. She is the arrogant E Model’s genetic match.

For much of her mature lifespan, she has desired the male, yearning for his dark-eyed gaze, craving his sure hands, longing for his respect.

That esteem was never granted. And Eirene Ours can no longer wait to earn it. There’s an external threat to their kind, a danger that might destroy them all.

Having lured Power to her home terrain, she now plans to use everything within her means - her fists, her daggers, her ship-destroying missiles – to pound that truth into her stubborn warrior’s thick metal skull.

The future of every cyborg is at stake. She can’t fail them.

Power will believe her. Or he will die.
Thoughts on Seizing Power: In previous books, Power hasn't been the most sympathetic of cyborgs. He's rigid, unbending, and he refuses to send cyborgs out to help those who weren't freed in the cyborg revolt. That last one is NOT okay with Cadet/Eirene Ours. She's dedicated to helping all the cyborgs who weren't freed in the initial uprising and Power's refusal to help hits her on a personal level.

After all, her father was one of the ones left behind and Eirene Ours is going to do everything she can to help those like him. Even potentially give up her chance at her genetic match.

Given that these cyborgs are desperate to meet their matches (Power included, as he's shown in the past), that's saying a lot to her dedication to the cause.

Fortunately for Power, Eirene Ours gives diplomacy a try. Well, she's diplomatic for a cyborg. By that I mean, there's a lot of grappling and fighting and more than a few threats. She uncovers the reason Power does the things he does and helps him unbend a little. Tiny bit.

A little violent foreplay, a standoff between factions, two insatiable cyborgs, and a whole lot of familiar faces. The cyborgs have come a long way since their imprisonment and they're still going strong. *thumbs up*
