Synopsis (Goodreads):
Amalie Whitfield is the picture of a blushing bride during her wedding reception ― but for all the wrong reasons. Instead of proclaiming his undying love, her husband can be heard, by Amalie and their guests, getting off with someone else. She has every reason to freak out, and in a moment of insanity, she throws herself at the first hot-blooded male she sees. But he’s not interested in becoming her revenge screw.

Mortified and desperate to escape the post-wedding drama, Amalie decides to go on her honeymoon alone, only to find the man who rejected her also heading to the same tiny island for work. But this time he isn’t holding back. She should know better than to sleep with someone she knows, but she can’t seem to resist him. They might agree that what happens on the island should stay on the island, but neither one can deny that their attraction is more than just physical.
Thoughts on Hooking Up: Reading this series out of order (which just seems to be a thing I do now, I guess), so I 100% knew Armstrong was a big turd, but I didn't know how MUCH of a big turd he was. The guy is an entitled, gross douche-canoe with a side of smarmy slime. So gross.

Anywho. This isn't really about the big turd. It's about Amalie and Lex. They almost had a moment until Armstrong slimed his way in. When Armstrong showed his true colors, Amalie acts on impulse when she tries to get into Lex's pants. Lex (regretfully) turns her down (for many reasons, the least of which being he didn't want her to regret anything later) and then they end up on the same flight/on the same island as they both flee their problems (the problem being Armstrong and his gross shenanigans).

Look, two people who are already attracted to one another and have nothing holding them back are eventually going to succumb. Lex and Amalie succumb in a BIG way. More than once. In multiple positions. The downside? When their island time ends, they both try to pretend they didn't get down and dirty in every way possible. Yeah. That doesn't work very well for either of them.

An island getaway, a mega-gross husband-ish, a lot of steam, a bag full of toys (heh), and a romance they try to keep under cover. Amalie and Lex. Oh, yeaaaaah.
