Synopsis (Goodreads):
She’s never been on her own.

Her whole life, Callie was pampered, protected—and imprisoned. Then she lost it all. How can she survive on her own in such a dangerous universe? She needs someone to save her. Luckily, she knows just the one she wants—if she can figure out how to catch him.

He never wanted to be a bodyguard.

Born to serve in a beast battalion, for Zenith, getting banished was an unexpected dream come true. Now he’s free to fly the wilds of Montana, Earth, answering to no one in the universe—if he can avoid a certain needy female with a knack for rubbing him the wrong way…and the right one.

The new Big Sky Intergalactic Dating Agency is ready to launch!

But not everyone believes in the promise of match-mating true love, and Zenith and Callie have only one chance to decide if her fear and his freedom matter more than a forever together.
Thoughts on Zenith: The 3rd of the Beast Battalion boys is up and Zenith has kind of convinced himself he's a-okay on his own. Then Callie shows up and suddenly he's feeling protective and territorial and that won't do AT ALL. Loners gotta lone, amirite?!?!

Meanwhile, Callie clawed her way halfway across the galaxy specifically for Zenith. The problem? She's not that great at fighting for herself due to her past. Or at least she thinks she's not great at fighting for the things that matter to her. After all, she froze that other time she was put in a precarious position and the experience kind of left a mark on her.

When things get hairy (not literally), Callie realizes she might not be great when it comes to fighting, but she's also not defenseless. And Zenith begins to realize he's not exactly the loner he believes himself to be.

A little danger, a nice kitty, an aerie encounter, deadly robots, and a gala event that probably won't go off without a hitch. I mean, there's still a bad guy out there trying to put the kibosh on the IDA starting up again and the grand opening event seems like the perfect time to strike. Good thing the Beast Battalion are around, right?
