Synopsis (Goodreads):
He’s wealthy, he’s mean… and he’s about to meet his match!

Life on the alien planet of Londria is difficult for humans, but Bobbi is determined to make the holiday season a special time for her fragile little brother, Tim. Desperate for funds, she’s even willing to take a job working for the coldest, meanest, most hard-hearted alien in the entire city.

Skruj is only interested in accumulating more wealth. He has absolutely no taste for social events—until they stand between him and a new source of income. Since his attendance requires a companion, he reluctantly decides to hire one. Unfortunately, the only female willing to agree to his meager terms is a pathetic—but unexpectedly alluring—human.

Three events. Three nights. How hard could it be?

As the snow begins to fall, neither one of them is prepared for an unexpected attraction and a dose of holiday magic!
Thoughts on Skruj: We have A Christmas Carol retelling with an alien twist and YESSSSS. Skruj is a little bitter, a lot tight when it comes to money, and the big guy doesn't know what hit him when Bobbi shows up for the job he posted. To be fair, Bobbi has no idea what she's in for with her soon-to-be boss either.

Fortunately for her, Skruj isn't cruel, by any means. He might be a little obsessed with money, but Bobbi's sweetness and calm way of explaining things soon has him opening his famously tight purse strings. After all, he wouldn't want his companion to be underdressed for any of the events she's joining him on, would he?

A reunion with old friends (that Skruj wasn't looking forward to), a dinner with his colleagues (that Skruj wasn't looking forward to), and a look toward that future (that gives Skruj the kick in the pants he needs to see where his life is heading) have these two getting to know one another in the best sort of way. It doesn't take long before sparks are flying and kisses are being bestowed. GOOD TIMES!
