Synopsis (Goodreads):
I used to think right and wrong were as simple as white and black. Now I'm not so sure.

When Tansy shows up on my doorstep asking for help, I know I need to keep my distance, even though my libido has other ideas. I'm a dangerous man with a dangerous job and a lot of unanswered questions I'm responsible for finding. But when the bad guys come to stake their claim on the timid Tansy, distance is no longer an option.

On the run for our lives, we need to hide and strategize. But we're in close quarters, and she smells so good, and she's so eager to please ... but I'm the Boy Scout. I have a responsibility to keep her safe, even from myself. But my curvy little Tansy has other ideas, and she's cultivating a will of her own. I don't know how long I can withstand our mutual desire, because the sparks are flying and threatening to burn. And the question I'm asking myself now is, what if what I think is wrong, is actually very, very right?
Thoughts on The Boy Scout: What we've seen of the HRC from the PP series was NOT GOOD. But it turns out, they're not so bad. Or at least the team that was left off the PP incursion roster isn't bad. To be fair, the reason they were left behind was because they were investigating their leader (who is terrible) and said leader didn't want decent folks cutting into his good time when it came to possibly pillaging a planet.

Yeah, HRC has a bit of a reputation and a lot of it looks like it might stem from the guy in charge.

You know who else has a reputation? Boy Scout. He can make some mighty fine gadgets and he's not afraid to do what needs to be done. Which makes sense since he's part of the HRC. Tansy approaches him to help her stay off everyone's radar and he's intrigued. REALLY intrigued. He tells himself he shouldn't be, but he is. Then the people after her show up and try to grab her and he can't help but step in and do what he can to keep her safe.

On Tansy's end, she's smart and quick and a little on edge. Being on the run is taxing on a person. She has to trust Boy Scout to keep her safe when things go sideways and it turns out they work VERY well together.

A little danger, a brush with the criminal element, a man who has held on to his moral center despite who he works for, and a lady who is finding herself again. *thumbs up*
