Synopsis (Goodreads):
It’s one thing to bring the woman you love back into your life. It’s another to try and keep her there. For Dex Foray, convincing Perry Palomino to open herself to their burgeoning relationship has been more challenging than hunting ghosts, battling demons and stalking Sasquatch combined. Add in the fact that the only way they can keep their Experiment in Terror show running is to take on a third partner in the form of the mysterious Maximus Jacobs — all while investigating a sinister voodoo sect in New Orleans — and you’ve got the perfect Southern storm and a recipe for disaster. Luckily, Dex has never been one to back down, even when his life –and heart — are on the line.

Come Alive is told from Dex’s POV.
Thoughts on Come Alive: Dex. Dexxxxxx.  I just love being in his head. He's so up front about himself and what he wants. Especially when what he wants is Perry. I love how he sees her as infinitely beautiful and sexy and how he's able to see the insecurities she has in herself.

Let's face it, Dex and Perry have never had an easy relationship. They've had to deal with bad timing, their respective abilities, Dex's manic personality, Perry's possession, and the Palomino family. That's not even bringing into account the various supernatural entities they've had to deal with in their time on Experiment in Terror.

So, when things are looking good for the two of them, you just KNOW something's going to come between them. That something happens to be Maximus and zombies. Not at the same time.

I really, really do love seeing the world through Dex's eyes. He's perpetually horny and he's finally reached a point where he's willing to admit that he loves Perry and wants to be with her. However, enough happens in this book that I wouldn't have minded seeing things from Perry's perspective a time or two.

Things are happening in this world and it's not all good. However I have faith that these two crazy kids can figure things out. While hunting ghosts. Or zombies. Their relationship might not be all wine and roses (more like jack and coke and sexy times in bed) but they have the guts to fight through whatever's coming.

Bring on book 8!
