- In INCREDIBLY EXCITING news, I officially revealed the name I'm going to be publishing under. If you find me mildly amusing and/or want to know when I release my first (and more than first) book, feel free to sign up for my mailing list. I'll totally make sure you know what's going on. TOTALLY. Oh, my pen name? Kelly Apple. I stole my best friend's last name when she was tipsy. It was awesome.
- In slightly less exciting news, I updated my review format at the end of last week. I'm still making some tweaks, but I like the changes a lot and I'm glad I made the switch.
- On Wednesday, I was over at Amanda's blog with a review for Spell Bound (Hex Hall #3) by Rachel Hawkins. I ended up really liking how everything played out, despite some of my issues with a few of the things that happened in the earlier books.
- Free Books Need Love, Too! weekly reviews:
- Monday - Jake and the Other Girl by Emmy Laybourne
- Tuesday - GLA: The Monster in My Pants by John Lee Macker
- Wednesday - Reluctant by Kerrigan Byrne
- Seriously Series weekly update: Yeah, the Doin' It Dirty readathon REALLY helped those before 2013 numbers this week. I am pleased!
- Series started in 2013: 17/18 (+8 since last week)
- Series started before 2013: 2/18 (+0 since last week)
- Series rereads: 6/13 (static)

- Amanda wrote a great birthday article about fighting insecurities. What she says is SO TRUE -- Insecurities LIE! Be brave and face them head-on!
Yay for getting lots read! 16 is awesome, and I hope you had fun with that read-a-thon.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that you're going to be publishing something, I'll go stalk that page hehe.
Yes, the dirty readathon makes me smile! I always clear out a bunch of books during it!
DeleteStalk away! It'll be a while yet before my first book is published but that's just because I'm still figuring things out. Good thing I have Amanda to keep me on track.
NEW PEN NAME! YAY!
ReplyDeleteInsecurities do lie. They're eeeeeevil.
YAY! And... yes! Insecurities are baaaaadddddd. I'm feeling them right now. BUT I'M GOING TO PUSH THROUGH THEM ANYWAY!
DeleteYay for the pen name reveal! I can't wait to read some of your work. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that you read 30 books this week, but still have over 500 unread!
Thanks, Kristilyn!
DeleteYeah, it's WAY too easy to download freebies sometimes. It seems like no matter how many I read, I'm always picking up enough so that I'm not making a dent.
I have no idea how you got to read 30 books in one week, but congrats. Between, loved the pen name!!
ReplyDeleteIt was the Doin' It Dirty readathon! 16 novellas/short stories in 12 hours! WOOT!
DeleteThank you!
