Synopsis (Goodreads):
Faerie teeters on the brink of war and the mortal realm swells with fae refugees desperate to escape the bloodshed. As a half-blooded fae, Marshal Thierry Thackeray has a stake in the outcome of both realms and isn’t afraid to knock a few heads together if it keeps the peace.

When her father goes missing, the only hope of negotiating a truce between the light and dark fae vanishes with him. Eager to avoid another Thousand Years War, the Faerie High Court reaches out to the one person they believe can track him down—the daughter who shares his curse.
Thoughts on Heir of the Dog: Things are getting even more complicated for Thierry. I mean, you'd think having the ability to channel her father's power would be rough enough, but no. She's now thrust in the middle of something dark and deadly and she's barely scratched the surface on what she can do with her power.

We'll get to that in a second, though. First, let's talk about Shaw and how tangled that's become. Honestly, I didn't see that particular twist with him coming. And then there's all the stuff Thierry ran into in faerie that I'M SURE Shaw is going to be a wee bit unhappy about. (Yeah, I already have book 3 queued up to see how that turns out.) Relationships are so complicated, aren't they?

For the record, I don't trust pretty much anybody who comes from faerie. Maybe the giant cat. I might trust him. I'll have to wait for book 3 to make a more qualified decision. The point I'm trying to make here is that Thierry needs to keep her head up and her eyes open because those guys are slippery and they'll do whatever they need to do to twist an outcome to their satisfaction.

Still loving this world. Still loving the crazy. Book 3 is waiting for me.
