Synopsis (Goodreads):
Sergeant Arin Varga has a problem on her hands. She's supposed to be in charge of a squad of peacekeepers. That's something she would normally handle with ease, except that now her people are stuck in Earth's orbit on a doomed superfreighter. To make things worse, they're being held hostage by a group of very threatening, very menacing silver-skinned Kordolians, who are insistent that all they want is safe passage to Earth to kill oversized insects.

One particular alien, who goes by the name of Rykal, seems be constantly getting inside her personal space. He isn't just threatening, he's friendly and threatening, and if Arin isn't careful, that could become a major problem.

Warning: This book is a science-fiction alien romance. It contains swearing, violence, sensual sex scenes and silver aliens with fangs. It's definitely recommended for readers aged 18 and over.
Thoughts on Forged in Shadow: I have SUCH the soft spot for emotionally stunted alien super soldiers who find a reason to keep on keeping on when they meet their special someone. SUCH A SOFT SPOT. These Kordolians do it for me SO HARD.

I mean, these guys are basically the scourge of the galaxy and yet when they meet that one special person MAGIC HAPPENS. They because crazy protective teddy bears who just happen to have the skills and weaponry to kill anyone or anything that threatens their happiness.

*SWOON*

Seriously. I adore this series and I'm getting the biggest kick out of watching the various Kordolians fall for the women they encounter. They may be big, bad, and silver, but they're putty when they right woman comes along.

You know, if putty could cleave through spaceships and stuff.

As for Rykal and Arin...LOVE! Dangerous situations. Terrible things. Sexy times in space.

I'm going to grab the next book IMMEDIATELY. Because aliens.
