Synopsis (Goodreads):
Sophie Keyes has been taken. Accused of breaking the laws central to the universe, she’s at risk of being erased from existence—unless Lincoln Marshall can fix her wrongs for her.
Thoughts on Hell's Hinges: Honestly, I LIKE Lincoln and his weird sense of justice, but I don't know if he's the best guy to tap for fixing wrongs of this magnitude. I mean, he made a MESS of things with poor Sophie's situation. A MESS.

On the other hand, given what we know about him in the future, I'm going to guess that he's exactly where he needs to be, doing exactly what he needs to be doing. Which means these messy, timeline-fracturing events are all part of the big plan, right? RIGHT!?!?!

That said, HOLY WOW, have things gone sideways on this little group. Gods and demons and monsters and all other manner of crazy are doing their thing and it's VERY different from what happened originally. Which kinda boggles my mind when I think about it too hard. Elise and James and secrets and NO JAMES AND ELISE DON'T DO THAT YOU'RE JUST GOING TO END UP HURTING ONE ANOTHER EVEN WORSE THAN YOU DID BEFORE.

Time travel, man. It gets you every time.

Speaking of secrets...Hi, Sophie. You have a kinda big one, don't you? Also, I kinda loved you showing your intelligence and unintentionally putting James in a weird head space. Because James thinks he's big stuff and then he found out there's a whole lot more out there than what he knows and he has to deal with that and an unscheduled apocalypse and HAHA WHOOPS.

BUT WAIT. THAT ENDING. HELLO. WHAT'S THIS?

Yeeeeaaaaah.

I honestly don't know if these books would be as impactful if you haven't read the interconnected series that builds this world (and then destroys it) a piece at a time, but I am blown away by this wild ride. It's insane. It's bloody. It's a roller coaster of EPIC proportions.

And HOLY WOW it's fun. So fun. Good, bloody fun for the whole family. You know, if you're into that sort of thing.
