Synopsis (Goodreads):
Detective Drake Nash: hot, alpha, bossy, and… mine.

Now, if someone could tell his ex that... I don’t care if the summer fayre is coming to Holly Woods and she’s on the planning committee. What I do care about is sugar-filled food, bright lights, late nights… and danger. The type that won’t come in the form of Nonna’s new cantankerous British parrot, Gio. (Please see the damage done to Mom’s new curtains.)

Unfortunately, when the danger comes, it comes in the form of something Holly Woods has never seen. The town is rocked to its core, and once again, I’m in danger. Only this time, it isn’t because of my clients—this time, I’m in danger because of who I am… Because of my heritage.

And despite the HWPD’s best efforts, the bodies keep on piling up.

Drake’s determined to protect me. I’m determined that I can do it myself.

Danger. Mystery. Darkness. Malice.

It’ll be a miracle if any of us make it out of this with guns unfired, cupcakes still frosted, and hearts intact…
Thoughts on Tethered Bond: Another day, another dead body. Or more than one, if we're going to accurate. Seriously, while I completely expect the dead bodies thing with Drake (seeing as how he's the lead homicide detective), Noelle stumbles over waaaayyyy more than anyone should be comfortable with. Admittedly, part of that is her inability to keep her nose out of potentially dangerous situations, but I completely understand Drake's frustration with the way she willfully throws herself into danger.

Of course, if she didn't do that, she wouldn't be the strong-willed Noelle Bond we've come to know and love.

Anywho. One of Noelle's brothers pointed out that Noelle and Drake might be good together, but that didn't mean they had the ability to work well together and that's the truth, man. Those two are like oil and water on a good day. Throw in some workplace dynamics and things go south faster than you can snap your fingers.

Again, though, that's just the two of them. They spark and fight and make up and fight some more. All Noelle's *passion* needs an outlet and Drake is more than capable of weathering anything she throws at him. Or shoots at him. Not that she has. Recently.

Right. More crazy Bond shenanigans. More sexy Drake and Noelle time. More bodies. I'm really enjoying this series. SO MUCH.
