Synopsis (Goodreads):
For the first time in his life, roboticist Casmir Dabrowski is headed to another star system as an advisor for the Kingdom space fleet. He’s being given a chance to prove himself to King Jager by helping find the ancient artifact he inadvertently lost. It’s best not to think about what might happen if he fails...

But with technologically advanced astroshamans after the artifact, not to mention the deadly mercenary captain Tenebris Rache, it’s not long before the mission collides with disaster.

Soon, Casmir and his friends are caught between warring factions, and he must choose between what the king would want and what he knows is right.
Thoughts on Crossfire: Casmir's life has certainly taken a turn from the semi-orderly existence he once lived. He's "working" for the king, has found out he has a notorious outlaw for a twin, and is smack-dab in the middle of more dangerous shenanigans than his professorly mind can wrap its head around.

No, wait. That's not quite right. He might be overwhelmed by some of the situations he finds himself in, but that brilliant, kind mind of his always rises to the occasion to find a way to slip out of true danger.

This time around by "danger", I mean he ends up in the middle of a hostile takeover of a space station. You know, among other things. Somehow *SOMEHOW*, Casmir takes a terrible situation and turns it into something not quite as terrible as it could have been. Plus, he has all the robots he's slowly swaying to his side.

I'm digging Casmir's story and all the crazy he gets into. Here's to seeing where it goes next.
