Thoughts on Otherworld Chills: The problem with these short stories/novellas is I end up wanting to read the entire series again. (Kidding. Not a problem. Not at all.) I pretty much love getting to revisit favorite characters and enjoy a new adventure.

Brazen: Ahhh, Nick. Teaming up with a half-demon as he tracks Malcolm for the Pack, Nick shows he's not just the good-time playboy his reputation would imply. In fact, he's turned downright respectable...well, that might be going a step too far. He still likes women, but he's a gentleman both in the sheets and on the streets. Unless, you know, he's fighting to protect someone who matters to him. I like Nick. I like that he knows his own limitations and he's perfectly happy doing his part without making waves. I also like that he just might have met up with someone who's a great match for him in all ways.

Chaotic: Hope and Karl's first interaction and BOY does it deliver. Karl is his usual slippery, charming, gentleman-werewolf self and he absolutely doesn't expect to be attracted to Hope when they cross paths. Especially since she doesn't seem all that enamored of him and his many charms. As for Hope, Karl uncovers some hard truths that rock her world (not in a good way) and she has to figure out how to reconcile those truths. These two are...well, I like them a lot and am very pleased to spend time with them.

Amityville Horrible: (I feel like I'm going to say this about ALL the couples, but...) MAN, I liked revisiting Jaime and Jeremy. Jeremy is one of those understated characters, the guy who comes across as intensely private even on page, and seeing him let go with Jaime makes me all kinds of giddy. That said, this is Jaime's story and it's a good one. Roped into doing a ghost-whispering special, Jaime has to figure out what's going on with the ghosts she keeps encountering while trying to keep from revealing her true powers in front of the cast and crew. My only complaint about this one is that I kinda wished it was longer. Not because the story was lacking, but because I REALLY like the dynamic between Jaime and Jeremy and wanted more.

Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word: The shortest and probably my least favorite of the bunch. Zoe goes out of her way to allow Cass some closure. Not bad, just not my favorite.

Off-Duty Angel: HA! A bored Eve is pretty much a recipe for disaster (even in the afterlife!) and Kristof knows her well enough to point her in the direction of something to keep her occupied before anything gets out of hand. Except things don't quite turn out the way anyone expects and Eve, in typical Eve fashion, ends up smack-dab in the middle of something dangerous. Eve cracks me up every time I read her. Her moral compass is questionable at the best of times and it leads to some GREAT adventures. Dangerous ones, too, but that's to be expected with her.

The Puppy Plan: Logan is ADORABLE. Elena's realization of how alike they are in certain ways (taking on things on their own because they WANT to figure it out without any help) and Clay's gruff brand of parenting were everything. Plus, Clay stumbling through talking to his son about Clay's past and the things he had to do to keep the Pack safe and Logan's far too perceptive understanding made my day. *thumbs up to the two youngest wolves*

Baby Boom: PAIGE AND LUCAS. MAN, I like these two. The situation they're faced with in this story is...rough given the circumstances, but they do their thing and tackle it like the strong couple they are. I love the relationship Paige and Savannah have found now that they're older and...I don't know. Everything about this one (from the unwavering support from friends and family to the solution Paige and Lucas found for their professional situation) made me happy.
