Thoughts on Bite Me Twice: One teensy little misunderstanding has Gracie showing up at her friend's wedding to stop her from making a mistake. A little drunk, a lot awkward, and one bite later she's told her friend isn't the one getting married. At what point she passes out. As one does.

Waking up on a private island in a gorgeous villa with the sexy man she accidentally bit telling her he's a werewolf and she just have him the excuse he needed to stop his arranged marriage is a lot to take in. But Gracie manages to wrap her head around it. And then she takes Nikos up on his proposal to be his fake True Mate for a month.

Excccccept, maybe it's not as fake as Gracie thought it would be. She likes Nikos and his world. Her chaos brings a little spice to his life. It isn't long before these two are tangling the sheets (among other things) and learning one another on every level.

Some political maneuvering, one Alpha wolf who is knows a good lady when she bites him, and a lady filled with chaos and light who is exactly what the big wolf needs. *thumbs up*

Yeah, Mick and Kimberly have an interesting first meeting. Not to mention, they're now shacked up together in an attempt to hide out and let their viral fame die down. They're both into one another, but things are moving very quickly and Kimberly has it in the back of her head that maybe its too fast. Which it isn't. It's just that when werewolves know, they know.

Now they're navigating a budding relationship, some very wolf-y instincts, and some potentially sticky pack politics. Or, well, not PACK politics. More like, the fallout from Mick being filmed going all wolf on the robbers. Which isn't ideal.

Anywho. Close quarters, long nights, a wolf who knows when he found his special someone, and a lady who has to decide if she's ready to stay in this world pretty quickly.

Thoughts on Emotional Support Alpha: Being an Alpha means Arthur can't show any weakness. And his spiraling anxiety? Definitely a weakness. At least he perceives it as such. So he (grudgingly) engages the help of an Emotional Support Human, not expecting much from them.

To say Chloe surprised him might be an understatement. His growls didn't bother her, her baked goods weren't bad (at all), and she wasn't scared away when he started going wolf. Even better, she knows all the coping mechanisms he could ever want to help him get his anxiety under control.

For Chloe, dealing with a werewolf is a lot like dealing with her kindergarten class. Knowing what triggers Arthur's anxiety helps her give him the support he needs when he needs it. Plus, spending time with the big guy is no hardship. She likes him. She thinks he's both an excellent leader and a great businessman. Sharing late night dinners to make sure he doesn't get low blood sugar and head into a tailspin? Not a problem.

Some political Alpha maneuvering, a werewolf pack who quickly learns to love their Alpha's ESH, an Alpha with who is an excellent leader (despite what he thinks about himself), and a human woman whose gentle grace wins an Alpha's heart (and makes some big changes in werewolf culture).

Thoughts on The Cuddle Clause: Straight up, I enjoyed this book, but I had a tough time watching Roman twist himself inside out as he tried to be what everyone around him needed him to be. Seeing him pretend everything was okay with his cousin and the pack when he was a hot mess on the inside was ROUGH. Which also means I had a bit of an issue with Lucien and how he forced Roman to do things his heart wasn't into. Yeah, I get that he was trying to get him outside his comfort zone in some ways, but his actions also put Roman in difficult situations that Roman felt like he had to endure (I'm not talking about the karaoke either. I'm talking about readying Roman for the beta position when he KNEW Roman didn't want to be beta).

Again, I do get what Lucien was trying to accomplish, it was just hard watching Roman struggle to find his voice.

Anywho. Let's talk about Roman and Maggie. They started as roommates where one (Roman) had very clearly spelled out expectations of what being roommates would entail and the other (Maggie) was in a state of emotional upheaval and didn't really read the fine (and regular) print on what she was getting herself into. Yeah, things were a little touch and go for a while. But Maggie adjusted and wasn't afraid to call Roman out when he left fur in the tub. She also wasn't afraid to give him space when he needed it and to carve out safe spaces for him when the world got to be too much.

Although Maggie didn't have the same processing/sensory issues as Roman, he gave her her own safe space. He provided her support so that she could be herself and re-find herself after her time with her ex.

A nosy landlord, an ex who is pretty much THE WORST (maybe not the worst, but I DID NOT LIKE THE GUY!), a whole lot of pack politics, ample cuddle time, fake dating, a werewolf who refuses to force anyone into something they're not fully informed on, and a lady who is getting a crash course on werewolves and safe spaces all in one go. *thumbs up*

Thoughts on How to Housebreak Your Werewolf: When the foster dog she's bathing suddenly turns into a hunk of a guy, Charlotte does what any normal person who doesn't know about werewolves would do. She screams and tells him to wear a towel so she doesn't get distracted by his goods.

To be fair, Alaric is distracting even with a towel. So that wasn't as effective as it maybe could have been.

Anywho. Alaric's been stuck in wolf form for a while and now he claims he owes Charlotte for unsticking him. He's not quite clear how this karmic debt will be repaid, but he's settling in for the long haul. Charlotte just kind of goes with it. Because hot guy who likes to do things around the house is a win, I guess.

When his heat hits, she helps him through it. When they have to share a room while her apartment is being repaired, things get even more serious. Soon their lives are meshing together in all ways and they're both okay with that.

An ex who isn't terrible, but it also maybe a little pushy, a territorial wolf with a decided domestic side, and a lady who got introduced to a whole new world on the fly and she's pretty much okay with it.

So, yeah. She signs up and expects some painfully awkward first dates, but at least she'll get a meal out of it.

Then her A date shows up and sparks fly. Not literally, but also almost literally since a single touch sends her into a full blown heat. Which Alec helps her through with her full consent. Lucy has a tiny little freakout about everything the next day and goes radio silent. Which is maybe a little understandable since she went from 0 to 100 in no time flat and things got a little overwhelming in her head.

On Alec's end, he's a lot smitten with the sexy woman he thought he'd spend nothing more than an overpriced meal with. Although she ran scared, he's convinced there's something there. So he does what any alpha would do when the lady he spent a scorching night with rabbited and finds out where her B date is going to be. And he shows up. As it turns out, their chemistry wasn't a one-time thing and date B ends up with Lucy going home with suitor A. Let's just say things progressed from there with the next set of dates.

A bad date or two, a not-so-bad date (but not with the guy her head is fixated on), some creative date-night fun, an alpha who knows his special someone from their first meeting, and a lady who needed to wrap her head around the idea that sometimes the first one is the right one. *thumbs up*

But that's exactly what happened.

Now she's trying to help Damon find his inner peace and keep him from wolfing out in public places. And since getting close and personal helps keep him even, Indigo is getting UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL with the sexy werewolf. Honestly, it's not a hardship in the slightest.

On Damon's end, he's trying to deal with suddenly being a wolf on his own and it's...not going so well. Especially around the full moon. But something about Indigo works for him and having her close keeps his wolf happy. His human side happens to like her also. Which is fortunate because these two just can't keep their hands off one another.

Tight quarters, sexy yoga, a wolf just trying to find his happy place, and a lady who is VERY good at keeping her wolf engaged. *thumbs up*

Thoughts on Taken & Claimed by the Werewolf Pack: I didn't dislike this story by any stretch of the imagination, but it is short and there are three hunky, virile males who REALLY want to show their lady a good time. In other words, there's not a lot of getting to know one another. They just jump in and get down to business.

So. Lara has a very clear purpose when she leaves her village to rescue the women who have gone missing. She's been taught that the werewolves in the mountains are beasts who will rend her without a thought. She is absolutely thrown when she finds out the women she's trying to rescue are all there of their own free will. And that the wolves are all vim and vigor and smoldering looks. Also, they are VERY good with their hands.

One thoroughly exhausting night later, Lara is realizing why the women chose as they did. Also, she just miiiiight be choosing to stay with her wolves too. And by might, I mean she is. Because they're very attentive and giving and they basically worship her like the treasure she is.

Thoughts on The Hungry Girl's Guide to Mating with a Werewolf: We're down to the last two in the female friend group and the Feral Pack. Maya had a bad experience with her first mate hunt and isn't looking to get herself in that situation again. Ethan, on the other hand, wants a mate something fierce. Given that all Maya's friends have mated with all Ethan's pack brothers, they both think the odds are with them possibly being their other half. But, again, Maya is VERY against putting herself in that position again, so they're kind of at a stalemate.

That said, Ethan's persistent. If Maya doesn't want a mate, he'll settle for being her friend. They just have to avoid direct eye contact so the mate bond doesn't trigger. Cue the mirrored sunglasses any time they're around one another. However, both Maya and Ethan are almost desperate for the connection they can only get from one another. So they embark on a friends with benefits (and no eye contact) situation to try and work around these things they're feeling.

No lie, they're both feeling lots of things. So many things. Maya's still fighting the idea of mating, but Ethan...well, Ethan's all in. But he won't force Maya to make a choice that she might end up regretting. Ultimately, she has to decide if she can stomach the idea of living without him. And then she has to act one way or another so they aren't stuck in this endless almost-mate limbo.

I'm sad to see these wolves go, but must say I thoroughly enjoyed watching all of them fall.

The plan involves meeting all the unmated wolvers in the Feral Pack and crossing her fingers one of them is her mate. And then? Running from them to trigger their instinctive need to chase and bite.

As plans go, it's not terrible. I mean, there was a little left up to chance with the whole "hoping one of them was her mate" thing, but the rest? Worked wonderfully. The only thing Zoe really didn't take into account was that she almost died during her first shift. Which she didn't know was a possibility, really. Fortunately, she had Connor there to coach her through the change. Now she just have to convince her wolf to bite him and finish planning their wedding.

On Connor's end, he's not in the least upset that his wolf chose Zoe. He's willing to do whatever needs to be done to convince her wolf to choose him now. Which means making a list of all the things that Zoe wants and then giving all those things to her. And if he has to marry her to keep her safe? So be it!

I'm really enjoying these human women and the wolves who are getting a second chance at being mated. Next up: wary Maya and the last wolf standing. *thumbs up*

Unfortunately, Finn's human side is a little conflicted about having a mate. Especially one as sunshiney as Emmy.

But Finn's wolf made the call and then Emmy's wolf accepted in what was possibly the shortest mate hunt in the history of mate hunts. So now they're trying to do the platonic mates with benefits thing which doesn't work nearly as well as Finn probably hoped it would. Mostly because he caught feelings, his human side is just a little tangled up about that.

A whole lot of color, some nearly-naked baking, a wolf who needs to work through what he wants, and a lady who is trying to be patient with the wolf who claimed her. *thumbs up*

Thoughts on The Independent Girl's Guide to Mating with a Werewolf: Jade, who doesn't KNOW about werewolves, but is also a little suspicious that maybe there really are werewolves in Moon Ridge, is up and her honey-bunny is Wyatt. Much like the other rejected, the surly mechanic doesn't think he'll ever find a mate again. So he's pretty shocked when he sets eyes on Jade and his wolf immediately goes all possessive.

Jade is miles apart from his previous mate. She doesn't mind his job (in fact, it reminds her of growing up with her dad) and just seems to genuinely enjoy spending time with him. She's sassy and says what's on her mind which means Wyatt doesn't have to try to guess how she feels.

On Jade's end, she likes the big werewolf and is determined to show him they could be good together. She knows she can be a lot for others to deal with, but she also thinks maybe fate had it right when it matched the two of them together.

I'm enjoying watching these damaged wolves find their special someones. *thumbs up* all around.

When Abby shacked up with a werewolf from the feral pack, Stella feared the worst. That she being held against her will and the wolf holding her was just as bad as the wolf Stella ran from.

So she heads out to Moon Ridge to rescue her friend. And...her wolf decides the sexy guy with fuzzy pajama pants was EXACTLY the type she wanted for a mate. So she goes all furry and now she's stuck in wolf form with a sweet guy she doesn't know and a friend who is VERY pleased with her werewolf honey (and absolutely didn't need any rescuing).

On Graham's end, he's been rejected once and barely survived it. He doesn't know that he can go through that again if Stella decides to walk away. The good news? Stella's wolf has already chosen him, so he's NOT going to get rejected again. They just have to wait out the hunt until her wolf decides he's trustworthy enough for her bite.

A long hunt that ends up giving these two a chance to get to know one another (even though one of them is in their furry form), a guy who is wildly considerate and caring, and a lady who might initially be a little gun shy about mating, but her wolf knows what she wants. *thumbs up*

Thoughts on Claimed in the Woods: A shy sweetheart of a werewolf who escapes his overbearing pack brothers with frequent trips to the woods and a lady who is REALLY outside her comfort zone in the great outdoors. They don't seem like they would work, but Ray knows Carrie is his as soon as he scents her and Carrie likes the big guy the moment they meet (well, after she gets over the knee jerk reaction of thinking he might be a serial killer).

The biggest roadblock for these two is that Ray is a werewolf and Carrie doesn't know monsters exist. Which means she doesn't know werewolves are real. The second biggest roadblock? Ray's shyness. The big guy has a hard time reaching for what he wants (fortunately Carrie is good with going for it) and then he has a hard time telling Carrie he wants to spend more time with her. Basically, he's not great at communicating verbally. He does okay once things start moving in a physical direction, but the lead up is a little touch and go.

A dismal campground, only one tent, a werewolf who knows his other half at first sniff, and a lady who has a lot to wrap her head around before she and Ray can have their HEA. *thumbs up*

Thoughts on Hot Wolf in the Country: We're back in Moonstone Pack territory with the Alpha who fiercely controls himself and doesn't believe love is in the cards for him. BOY, is he wrong. As some backstory, Adrian's father mated with a toxic woman who stirred up multiple issues with the pack, was treacherous and conniving, and who delighted in all the chaos she caused. Adrian has valid reasons for being wary of relationships. Harper just happened to worm her way into his heart anyway.

Which isn't to say their coming together was easy. Adrian is closed off and wary. Harper keeps to herself and doesn't make friends, preferring her work to socializing. In other words, she's also closed off an wary. Given that everyone in her life has abandoned her, she also has reasons for her wariness. BUT...she's trying to open herself up to new possibilities. It's just not as easy as one might think when a person's default when things happen is to crawl into themselves so they don't get hurt.

That said, Harper has stepped out of her comfort zone by moving to Monster Island. She steps a little further out when she grudgingly agrees to upgrade the Pack infrastructure and bring them a little closer to the modern age. She takes that final step when she throws caution to the wind and decides to see where this zinging pull toward Adrian takes them. Of course, Adrian also has to throw caution to the wind in that regard, but he's battling his wolf on that one and his wolf REALLY wants to claim Harper as absolutely soon as possible.

A little tech talk, a elder council that's stuck in a rut, an Alpha who wants the best for his pack, and a lady who is calmly competent in all things (except interpersonal relationships). Wolves, YESSSSSS!

Thoughts on Chained: Arabella honestly doesn't know what to expect when she signs on as a Tamer, but she needs the money and she doesn't see a lot of other options. When the warden throws all the rules and regulations out the window and asks her to take on Rowan Hale, Arabella is a little freaked out, but she says yes. Because the money is just that good for such a dangerous inmate.

While things could have turned out very badly for Arabella, they didn't. Rowan likes her scent (A LOT) and gets right down to business. He's rough around the edges and pushes more than a few of her boundaries, but he's careful enough to not do any permanent damage.

And twenty-four hours is plenty of time for both of them to know they've found something in that cold cell. To be fair, Rowan kind of knew he'd found something good as soon as he caught her scent. Arabella took a little longer, but her werewolf is exactly what she needs in all the right ways.

A cold prison cell, a snarly werewolf, and a lady who finds out a whole bunch of what works for her in a very short time. *thumbs up*

Thoughts on Abducted by Moonlight: A werewolf finds his mate and before he can even introduce himself the two of them are abducted by aliens. This sounds completely tragic on a whole lot of levels, but the planet Poppy and Lowell are dumped on has an alien who fits into their duo NICELY. That said, both Lowell and Z think they're the only mate for Poppy and they're maybe a little competitive at first. Which is understandable, really. Since they're all about making sure their mate is happy, it doesn't take long until Poppy has the two of them working together toward that end.

To backup a bit, Poppy isn't thrilled to have two trigger happy males battling over her. She's not disinterested, necessarily, but she's not thrilled to be the prize in a werewolf/alien tug of war. She does, however, enjoy the two of them getting close and personal with one another.

So, yeah. These three fit together. In all ways.

Fast, nicely dirty (literally dirty, actually, because there aren't any options for showering on this planet), and a whole lot of fun. *thumbs up*

Thoughts on Knotting Cinderella: A Cinderella retelling with four hungry wolves and one lady who is trying to make the best of her terrible situation with her step-family. She doesn't expect to be compatible with the royal wolves, but THINGS HAPPEN.

I'm getting ahead of myself, though. Ella is existing. Her stepmother and stepsisters use her ruthlessly to keep their house and themselves looking good. She wants better for herself, but can't see a way of getting out of the situation her stepmother has trapped her in. Then the invitation for the ball comes and Ella sees a chance to experience ONE night where she can forget about scrubbing and cleaning. BUT (as is the way with Cinderella's wicked stepmother) her stepmother forbids her from going. Even though the invitation specifies EVERY unmated omega is to attend.

Enter one fairy godmother, one night of dancing and revelry, and an unexpected connection with four royal wolves. Yup, Ella hits the jackpot with that pack.

Meanwhile, the prince is worried since he and his pack haven't found their omega yet. But one glance at Ella has him and the rest of his pack sure they've found their fifth. A little steam, a little heat, and an unforgettable night with their omega and then midnight hits and she bolts. Which means these wolves need to pull out all the stops to find the lady who completes their wolves.

Thoughts on Hunted and Knotted by the Wolf: I enjoyed this book overall, but I did think there was a lot of repetition in how often both Red and Wolf thought of how she'd been claimed and was his now. Like, I absolutely get that this is supposed to be primal and a deep, driving urge and maybe both of them were lost in the moment and what was happening, but there was a lot of how he had claimed her and marked her and was now his.

Did it detract from my overall enjoyment of the book? The repetition took me out of it a little because I kept focusing on how he'd thought this exact same thing two paragraphs before (or the chapter before or the page before, you get the point), but I'm really here for Red getting caught by a big, bad wolf and I was definitely given that. So did it detract? Minimally, I'd say although I did notice it. (and I also get that there are only so many variations on how someone can claim the other is theirs, so take this entire review with a grain of salt.)

Enjoyable and I'll likely see how Cinderella fares so *thumbs up*

Thoughts on The Bookish Girl's Guide to Mating with a Werewolf: Some late-night werewolf romance binge reading (who hasn't done THAT before, amirite?!?) has Abby making the sleep-drunk decision to drive to a nearby town and look for her very own werewolf. Which doesn't seem unreasonable to me, really. I mean, read a werewolf romance, look for your very own werewolf. Perfect!

As it turns out, Abby absolutely does find herself a werewolf. He's big, hunky, and he's got his sights set on her. Which was actually something Abby hadn't counted on when she went looking. Now she has a werewolf in his wolfy form hanging out in her apartment, she's trying to convince her friends he's just a large dog, and maybe she might like this wolf more than she thought she would.

On Nico's end, he'd resigned himself to being alone. After all, he hasn't found a mate yet and he's one of the ferals. Then he runs into (kind of literally) Abby and now everything's changed. He has to convince the sexy professor he'd make a good mate, wrestle his instincts down when any other man looks at her, and try not to lose it when she wanders around with no pants on.

A group of rejected wolves, a book club, a rearranging of priorities, a werewolf who has eyes for no one but his lady, and a lady who had the right idea when she went looking for a werewolf of her own. *thumbs up*
