Because, you know, he's still thinking about getting in her pants and he doesn't like wanting someone who could be so mercenary as to try to blackmail him.
Then he finds out the truth and it's a whole other ball game. Because once the blackmailing façade is peeled away, Aspen is a fantastic person with a good heart and VERY good intentions. She just had to play the bad guy to get where she needed to be.
Which worked out nicely for Liam because she ended up in his life and his bed and RAWR!
