Synopsis (Goodreads):
All Violet Parker wants is a day off. Better yet, just a “normal” day. But things never go as planned, especially in Deadwood.

Someone—or rather something—broke into the local taxidermy shop and took bites out of the critter displays before racing off into the dark. But this is no random crime and Violet knows it. With a bounty on her head and troublemakers zeroing in on her, she soon goes from being the hunter to the hunted.
Thoughts on Never Say Sever in Deadwood: Violet wants a normal day and hahahahahaha. Yeah. Her life is too weird and dangerous and complicated for normal anymore. Or maybe she just needs to recalibrate her definition of normal to include ghoulish beasties, the potential for ghosts at any given moment, weird interactions with allies, and otherworldly visits. Because all that stuff happens on the regular.

Now imagine all that stuff plus a party for her day job to celebrate the airing of an episode of Paranormal Realty. An episode in which Violet is showcased and...yeah, there's a lot going on in Violet's life. A lot.

On the upside, she and Doc are solid. Violet's also not butting heads with Cooper quite as much (probably because Natalie's keeping him bus-ay, if you know what I mean). And her kids are happy and healthy and trying their hardest to add a stray dog to the family.

A little danger (I kid, there's more than a little), a lot of unpleasant bodily fluids, a few cases of totally needed beheading, and more than a little French between Violet and Doc. Good.Stuff.
