Synopsis (Goodreads):
Can a vulnerable human become a dragon warrior’s greatest treasure?

For generations, Drakkar’s people have chosen to live alone, only coming together for brief periods, but when he joins the battle raging across his home planet, he finds an unexpected family in a set of misfit warriors. After the war ends, he chooses to cut all ties to his past and accompany his new brothers to a backwater planet.

He knows he is not suited for a mate and a family, but as he watches his brothers choose human brides, he finds himself envying those relationships. Then a vulnerable female awakens his protective instincts. He is determined to save her - and her precious child - even though he knows he cannot keep them.

Kitty has a history of foolish decisions, but now that she has a child to protect she is determined to change her ways. She refuses to let the arrogant dragon-like warrior who rescues her become yet another mistake. But there is a hidden vulnerability behind his haughty demeanor, and once again her heart threatens to lead her astray.

Stranded in an isolated mountain cave in the middle of a blizzard, can Kitty find the courage to trust again? And can Drakkar overcome a lifetime of solitude for a chance at happiness?
Thoughts on Drakkar: We're back on Cresca with the next lonely alien and I AM HERE FOR IT! Yup, Drakkar, the serious, loner medic who distances himself from everyone is up. While he absolutely doesn't think he's cut out to have a female to call his own, he goes with Benjar and the others to keep an eye on them and get a feel for the human town.

GUESS WHAT! THINGS DO NOT GO AS DRAKKAR PLANNED! By that, I mean he steps in to protect a young mother and ends up taking both her and the baby back to his cave to keep her safe and wait out the blizzard. While years of tradition might say his people are too volatile to share their lives with another, Drakkar likes having Kitty and the baby in his home. But long-held beliefs are hard to break and Drakkar refuses to trap Kitty in a life she isn't interested in.

As for Kitty, she likes the big, winged alien. He not only saves her from a bad situation, he's gentlemanly and kind and pushes all her buttons in the best sort of way.

A cozy cave, a serious medic, a new mother who is doing her best, and a blizzard that gives them the chance to get to know one another. *thumbs up*
