Synopsis (Goodreads):
Not even Death can take her from him.

Clara Savoie is so confused. She is absolutely positive that Henry Blackwater is practically in love with her. But for some strange reason, he won’t even ask her on a single date. Time to take matters into her own hands.

When Clara shows up on his doorstep with an unusual invitation, tempting cupcakes, and naughty innuendo, Henry has no choice but to say yes. Now he’s the newest member of the High Tea Romance Book Club. While Clara learns the haunting secrets of her broody grim, Henry shows her what commitment from a necromancer truly means.

But when his father is arrested for murder, Henry is dragged back into the nightmare he’s been avoiding all his life. When he steps back into his father’s world, he isn’t just endangering himself but also the bright, beautiful woman he can no longer live without. But he just might have to.
Thoughts on Grim and Bear It: Not going to lie, I'm sad to say goodbye to the Savoie sisters and the gentleman who captured their hearts, but WOW did they go out strong. Clara and Henry were everything my little heart desired when to came to a stoic, closed-off grim and the sunshine-y witch who was his special someone. *draws glittery hearts around these two lovebirds*

So. The grim who can't take his eyes of Clara from the first moment he spots her, but who doesn't make a move and this drives Clara UP A WALL because she's pretty darn sure he likes her, so why isn't he acting on it? Yeah, these two. If Clara hadn't taken the initiative and reeled Henry in, I don't know if they ever would have ended up together. No, I'm wrong. They would have (because these two were meant to be), but it would have taken a far longer time and who needs that?

Anywho. Henry has issues. His power is big, his father made a bad choice when he was younger that scarred Henry (both physically and emotionally), and Henry's spent every moment since keeping said power locked up tight so he doesn't end up hurting anyone. He doesn't trust himself around Clara because he can't bear the thought of her being hurt by him, which leads to the aforementioned not making a move. Fortunately for him, Clara steps up and cuddles her way into his life until he can't imagine being without her.

On Clara's end, she's almost 100% sure Henry is her honey-bunny and she's tired of waiting for him to realize it, too. So she invites him to her book club and soon the two are inseparable. And when THINGS HAPPEN, they really happen. OH YEAH.

A little case of murder, a whole lot of power that Henry is hesitant to use, a little fate, a little lovin', and two people who are the best sort of grumpy/sunshine and MY HEART IS HAPPY NOW.
