Synopsis (Goodreads):
Shelby Foxworth lost her husband. Then she lost her illusions…

The man who took her from Tennessee to an exclusive Philadelphia suburb left her in crippling debt. He was an adulterer and a liar, and when Shelby tracks down his safe-deposit box, she finds multiple IDs. The man she loved wasn’t just dead. He never really existed.

Shelby takes her three-year-old daughter and heads south to seek comfort in her hometown, where she meets someone new: Griff Lott, a successful contractor. But her husband had secrets she has yet to discover. Even in this small town, surrounded by loved ones, danger is closer than she knows—and threatens Griff, as well. And an attempted murder is only the beginning...
Thoughts on The Liar: After the death of her husband, Shelby is trying to put her life back together. Digging herself out of the mountain of debt he left her is #1 on her list. Only the deeper she dives into their shared life, the more she realizes it was all a lie.

In fact, the only good thing to come from their marriage was their daughter and Shelby is determined to give her the best life she can. Which means heading home.

While things are a little unsettled at first, Shelby finds her rhythm in Rendezvous Ridge. But the ghost of her husband's lies keep rising up and sorting through everything he'd done makes for a bit of a headache.

Of the non-headache-y variety is Griff Lott. New-ish to town, he's smitten from the first look. And he adores her daughter, which endears him to Shelby. A cautious friendship and even more cautious foray into something more has Shelby realizing she deserves more than the stilted relationship she'd had with her husband.

Dangerous partners, small town shenanigans, shocking lies, rekindled friendships, a man who is willing to put in the work, and a lady who is working on finding herself again. Good stuff all around.
