Thoughts on Taken by a Dragon: If I'm remembering correctly, we saw the start of Anais and Loke's story back in book 2 when Loke snatched Anais from the battlefield and winged away with her. Since then we've crossed realms, traveled with shapeshifters of all kinds, and seen some pretty fantastic setup for later books (Bleu... BLEU!). I have to admit, this entire series has been a fun, fun ride!

But this is Anais and Loke's story. Anais, who works for Archangel and is little more than a foot soldier in the sometimes reviled organization, and Loke, a displaced dragon shifter who lives a solitary life on the edges of dragon society. On the surface, they seem mismatched. Even more so when you consider Loke kidnapped Anais from the battlefield and she has no reason to trust him when he tells her he won't hurt her.

Against the odds, they work. Loke's visions of her destruction rattle him and make him determined to keep the lovely human safe. Anais sees something good in Loke after her initial panic and chooses to go with her gut and trust him.

And, yeah, stuff happens. Sexy stuff. Dangerous stuff. BAD stuff. Stuff that almost gets both of them killed. BUT IT DOESN'T. Not going to lie, I didn't see how in the world Loke and Anais were going to end up together given the issues they both ran across.

Also not going to lie, I'm super excited to see how the threads laid out in this story for other characters play out. Eeeeee. So much goodness!
