Anywho. We have Night and Lilian and they have some bagggggage to work through. Mostly of the "Night loathes witches thanks to some witchy things he dealt with in his past and Lilian not only happens to be a witch, she's there on behalf of her coven to condemn his brother" variety. Let's just say these two have to tackle a lot of stuff before they get to the HEA part of their relationship.
I mean, Night comes into the whole thing with a teeny-tiny chip on his shoulder thanks to his brother. Bastian calling him for a visit already has him in a snit. To have a human (or so he thinks) female dumped on him without any warning doesn't help matters. Throw in how Night has to battle his attracted to Lilian believing she's going to pledge herself to his brother complicates things even further. And that's not even taking into account the whole witch thing.
Meanwhile, Lilian's been put in a dangerous situation by her coven and she ABSOLUTELY does not want to/plan on/whatever catching feelings for the sexy, brooding vampire. In fact, she knows that Night will be very displeased when he finds out why she's at Bastian's house in the first place and the attraction flaring between them is just the icing on the cake.
A little betrayal, a lot of familiar faces, a rampaging demon or two, and some very steamy kisses. Night and Lilian might have baggage, but it makes for some gloriously hot smolder and I'm here for it!
