Synopsis (Goodreads):
Teenage Julie is sent to a school for exceptional children by her guardian, Kate Daniels.

The events of Magic Tests take place after Magic Slays. The story is told from Julie’s point of view.
Thoughts on Magic Tests: Oh, I like Julie. Not so much her teenage rebellion as the way she can size up those she comes across. She sees right through Kate and she knows when to push and when to pull back. And, heck, I just like her. She's trying to find her own path and she's not thrilled with being forced to do things outside her comfort zone. She's a little rebellious, but she has a good heart and can't walk away from someone in danger.

Which is pretty much what I expect from someone taken in by Kate and Curran.

As always, it's fun to step back into Kate's world. Even when Kate's not *in* it so much, her presence is felt. Plus, I get a kick out of seeing Kate through Julie's eyes. Kate's got a little crazy going for her and it's a hoot to see from the outside.

Solid story with some nice set up for Julie's future.
