Synopsis (Goodreads):
Andrea Nash of the Order of Knights of Merciful Aid - with an assist from her friend, Kate Daniels - tries to figure out why the giant three-headed dog who guards the gates of Hades is sniffing around Atlanta.
Thoughts on Magic Mourns: I missed this novella back in my original read of the series (waaaaay back in the day. You know, when we used smoke signals instead of social media to connect to one another.) (KIDDING. It was only 2012. I was totally using social media back then.) (I kinda forgot where I was going with the start of this sentence now that I've veered onto the lame age jokes track.) ...

Yeah, I'm going to try this again.

Andrea! And Raphael! AND A HELLHOUND! I like Hellhounds. They can be equal parts terrifying and cuddly. With lots of drool. This one was big on the drool and not so much with the cuddles. So it goes. You win some with the Hellhounds, you lose some.

But let's get back to Andrea and Raphael. This is a nice look at them as a couple. It won't last. We know that because they get their own book later and things are TENSE between them, but it's nice to seen Andrea slough off her determined disinterest and just go for it. With Raphael. Hard. As one does.

And Raphael. I like the guy. He's sometimes clueless and he has a past that would make a normal man-whore jealous, but he's trying. I can appreciate the last part.

That's enough from me. I have to go wallow in the next book. Because Curran.
