- Have you ever wondered about the steps a writer takes during editing? Amanda shows you how she got from a rough draft to a published book with her post A Step-by-Step Look at the Editing Process. As someone who is going through editing on my own book right now, I have to say that her format is pretty much exactly the same as mine. And I'm not saying that just because we're friends and I'm obligated to. =D Really. She knows her stuff and if you're interested in knowing how to get from rough draft to published, this will give you an idea.
- When brands fire back at one another on Twitter. LOLOLOLOL!
I need to start that Kevin Hearne series ... I only have Grimoire of the Lamb. Can I start with that? Yay for your almost-here book! I'm very excited for it! Now get writing!
ReplyDeleteYou *could* but I don't think it would have the same impact. Chronologically, it's the first of Atticus's adventures so... yeah. I'd hold out for Hounded, though, if I were you. You'll get the full-on Atticus/Oberon effect.
DeleteYou have been ROCKING the writing this weekend! At that pace, you'll finish book 2 in no time!
ReplyDeleteI didn't do as well yesterday as I was hoping to. I still got in almost 2K words (maybe it was only 1500) but it was nowhere near my goal. That said, I'm going to keep aiming for my 5K and get this sucker written!
DeleteYes...but remember, you wrote book 1 on a 5K per WEEK schedule. Aiming for 5K every day is going to get your book written faster, even if you don't hit the goal every day. #Logic #JustWrite
DeleteO.O GOOD POINT! I'd love to say to people "Oh, I wrote this book in a week." and then buff my nails against my ridiculously shiny shirt as I start plotting the next book in the series.
DeleteI have lofty dreams, I know.
