Synopsis (Goodreads):
The crew of the pirate ship the Lovesick Fool are worried about their navigator, Sentorr. He's obsessed with working, spending all his time on the bridge. It's not work the big blue alien is truly obsessed with, though.

It's a female.

Sentorr's convinced that Zoey, a female navigator on another pirate ship, is his mate. She won't show him her face, though, or agree to meet him. She's happy to have steamy, late-night conversations with him over comm channels, though.

He's determined to find her and claim her, no matter what it takes. But when he does locate her and discovers that she's been lying to him about who - and what - she is, will he still love her?

Or is the fact that Zoey's human too much for this blue-skinned male?
Thoughts on Deceiving the Corsair: I honestly don't think I can get enough of these sometimes snarly, always honorable, big, blue aliens. They're just...great. Even though they're pirates, skirting the edges of the galaxy (and the law) as they do their thing, I just like them. But, then, I've always had a soft spot for space pirates. The fact these guys are pretty straight shooters with big hearts just makes it all the better.

This time around, we get Sentorr's story. The navigator has always been aloof and, as his crew mates find human mates and the ship becomes even more crowded, he keeps to himself more and more. As ti turns out, that has more to do with a certain sassy navigator on another pirate ship than anything else.

Zoey. Zoey, Zoey, Zoey. Being the lone human on a ship in a galaxy that routinely enslaves her kind has made her cautious. While she loves the time she spends with Sentorr over the comms, she knows it can't go any further than that. Because, you know, she's living contraband and she's not willing to risk her defacto family OR the friendship that's blossomed between her and Sentorr.

As you can imagine, things take a turn when they meet face to face (accidentally) and Zoey finds out the other women aboard his ship are human too.

I'm completely smitten with the Mesakkah as a whole and I'm a wee bit sad to say goodbye to this series. Although, there are a few unruly "brothers" who are now on my radar. Which is a good thing. Here's me crossing my fingers that we get to see how things work out for them down the line.
