Synopsis (Goodreads):
A rogue spaceship captain. A human scientist.

Faith has spent the past eight years as a scientist locked in an alien research lab. When she finally manages to escape and finds out what the aliens are doing with her work, she is appalled and determined to stop their plans.

The alien spaceship captain who unknowingly assisted her escape is going to help her shut down the lab - whether he wants to or not. And she’s not going to let his massive body or the kind heart hidden behind his gruff facade distract her.

Captain Athtar finally has his life exactly the way he wants it - he has his ship, his crew, and his freedom. No mouthy little human is going to interfere with any of that, no matter how much she tempts him or how much his instincts demand that he claim her. If only he weren’t as tempted as much by her brilliant mind as by her luscious body.

Can Faith and Athtar fight their overwhelming attraction long enough to defeat the evil scientists and stay ahead of the Imperial Fleet? And when the battle is over, can there be a future for the two of them?
Thoughts on Faith and the Fighter: No lie, I picked up this book because of the big, blue, Viking alien on the cover. What can I say? A blue Viking alien kinda works for me. Especially when he's as prone toward profanity as Athtar is.

Apparently I have a type and it's big, blue, and foul-mouthed.

Anywho. Faith and Athtar. Faith's smart and wily and Athtar has a few reservations about her because of the baggage about scholars he picked up when he was a kid. Those reservations don't stop him from acting on the tension between them, but it does make him slow to pick up the clues about her being his mate. Which, for the record, EVERYONE else sees. It's kinda funny, really.

Big, blue, foul-mouthed aliens who are patently oblivious to things their shipmates can clearly see make me happy.

As for Faith, what started out as a simple escape attempt turned into a potentially suicidal act of redemption once she realized how her scientific work was being used. I totally respect that. She might have been forced to do what she did and she definitely didn't know what her captors were planning, but she took steps to correct the problem once she figured things out.

Aliens, spaceships, sassy humans, and a whole lot of naked time. Yessssss.
