Synopsis (Goodreads):
A scarred alien warrior. A fragile human woman. Too many secrets.

Growing up in the slums of Kaisar, Vorkan learned to fight for what he wanted. As an Imperial warrior, he learned the importance of honor and duty. But when they rescue a delicate human female, he knows she is destined to be his. He will do anything to protect her, even if it means forsaking his new life and becoming an outcast once more.

Tammy's faith in the goodness of others is shattered when she is kidnapped by aliens, but at least her best friend is by her side. When they are rescued by an Imperial ship, the big, scarred warrior who watches over her makes her feel safe again. Until he steals her away from the ship, her friend, and the new life they have been promised…

How can she trust him after such an act of betrayal? And what will happen when he learns all of her secrets?
Thoughts on Tammy and the Traitor: Tammy, the third of the most recently abducted human women, is up and her special someone is a big, red, scarred soldier who refuses to let Tammy suffer when he can do something about it. On the downside, the thing he was saving her from wasn't actually a thing, but the point it that Vorkan cared enough to get her out of what he thought was a bad situation. TO BE FAIR, he did this by kidnapping her. But he really did have Tammy's best interests at heart. He just didn't know who to trust so he took matters into his own hands.

So. Tammy. She's been abducted and then rescued and she's not in a good place when Vorkan first meets her. That said, she trusts the big guy. And he's absolutely smitten with her. As much as she trusts him, however, she's still keeping secrets and it isn't until they have a chance to sit down and talk things out that she starts spilling those secrets.

On Vorkan's end, his trust in his own people is shaken when he overhears something that makes him believe Tammy's safety is at risk. So he whisks her off and decides they're going to keep a low profile until he can unravel who to trust within the Imperial fleet. Fortunately for him, Tammy is forgiving.

A little case of kidnapping, a hideout that needs them as much as they need it, a lady who needs a safe place to land, and the warrior who is determined to be that place. *thumbs up*
