Synopsis (Goodreads):
Apple cider, bonfires, football, and—ghosts.

It’s homecoming weekend in Sugarland, Tennessee and ghost hunter Verity Long is tickled to see so many souls—living and dead—back in town to celebrate. But not all reunions are happy ones, and when Verity stumbles upon a dead body by the football field, it appears someone has already evened the score.
Thoughts on The Haunted Homecoming: Verity's doing her thing and...well, her mom's actually making things a little more difficult for her while attempting to help. Which is unfortunate and maybe a little infuriating (because WOW Tilly is just dropping their plan of attack like a two-ton brick on anybody who's within earshot), but Verity is trying to be patient and go with the flow.

In Verity's mom's defense, the body found at homecoming is that of her high school BFF. So she kind of invested in figuring out what happened. On the other hand, she's literally telling everyone what's going on with Verity's investigation and...that's never a good path to take when the person who did the killing might still be around.

But enough about Verity's mom's loose lips. Besides trying to figure out who killed someone from homecoming past, Verity's also dealing with Frankie and his issues. BOY, does he have issues. Namely of the trust and self-esteem variety. Following ghostly threads is a wee bit difficult when the helper ghost is sunk in his own despair.

But Verity is up to the challenge. It takes a while for her to get it through her mom's head that hunting killers is made even more dangerous when Tilly is telling everyone everything, but they get there. Eventually.

Ghosts, family, secrets, lies, and truths coming to light. *thumbs up*
