Synopsis (Goodreads):
She needs a Christmas miracle...

Verity Long is ready to deck the halls, jingle some bells, and maybe, just maybe have a merry Christmas with her boyfriend’s stuffy family. Truly, if she doesn’t extend the proverbial olive branch to the overbearing Wydells, she’s afraid she’ll hit them over the head with it.

But when her boyfriend’s mother pulls a shocking stunt, Verity finds herself with a big decision to make. And if that’s not enough, there’s an unexpected guest at her door. It’s the ghost of the woman who helped rescue Verity’s pet skunk three years ago that very night. And now she’s there to change Verity’s life as well.
Thoughts on The Ghost of Christmas Past: Verity and Ellis had seemed a little...err, slightly out of sync, maybe, after their last ghostly stakeout. Or whatever you want to call it. Ellis wasn't thrilled with the bodily danger Verity tends to end up in while ghost hunting and Verity is sort of unaware of said dangerous situations when she's in the heat of the ghost hunting moment.

Plus there's the situation with Mama Wydell, which, frankly, just succccckkkkks. Verity puts up with a lot from her, but putting Ellis in the middle of their (for lack of a better word) feud was sort of tough to watch.

On the other hand, Mama Wydell is not earning any points for her actions and Verity had had enough.

Yeah, it's a sticky situation that ends up dropping Verity into some ghostly shenanigans the likes of which she hadn't quite experienced before. She has a lesson to learn and only a short time to learn it before things spiral out of control for those close to her.

I'm still digging Verity and her crazy ghostly shenanigans, no matter what form they take.
