Synopsis (Goodreads):
Moving into a rundown Victorian house with a vampire living in the basement isn’t as bad as I thought, but things go from weird to weirder when a badly injured gnome collapses in my back yard.

The surprising part? It’s my friend Nin’s long-lost grandfather.

Since he’s unconscious, we can’t figure out who’s chasing him, or where he’s been all these years, but if we can’t help him, he’ll die.

To make matters worse, there’s a new dragon in town. A female dragon. Everyone knows females are more dangerous than the males, and this one takes an instant dislike to me. It seems that she wants to date my mate, Zav, and has his mother’s approval.

If I can’t avoid her wrath and find a way to cure the gnome, Nin’s going to lose her grandfather, and I’m going to end up deader than the vampire in the basement.
Thoughts on Storm Forged: OKAY. Things are moving in the right direction for Val and Zav. Both romantically and as far as outing the Stormforge clan's enemies go. Which is awesome because there have been A LOT of obstacles thrown up between these two and they've had a rough, dangerous time of it and they deserve a little R&R.

But before the R&R, they have to resolve a whole bunch of stuff. Like the lady dragon who thinks she and Zav should hook up. Of course, he'd have to set aside Val before said hooking up and Zav is not okay with that. Or with the arrogance of the lady dragon. He's also kind of peeved at his mother since she's the one who sent the lady dragon in his direction in the first place. So, yeah, there's that.

There's also the matter of Nin's grandfather appearing with some troubling news. That news leads to them learning that things might not be as they seem and OF COURSE they need to do what they do best and try to right things. Because, you know, Val and Zav can't let injustices lie. Especially since it directly concerns Zav's family.

A little stealth, a whole lot of fighting, some subterfuge, more than a little thrilling heroics, and some smoldering looks between the dragon lord and his chosen mate. MAN, am I enjoying these two together.
