Synopsis (Goodreads):
As a former con-artist, I love a convoluted, mind-bending scheme as much as the next guy. But as a recently promoted MagiPol agent, I love it significantly less than that guy.

Especially when the life of a kidnapped teen hangs in the balance.

Between confusing orders and conflicting evidence, this whole investigation has me and my partner, Lienna, spinning in circles. Why is our boss keeping this case off the books? Why is our top suspect, the most notorious rogue in Vancouver, mired in contradictions? And why am I the only one who cares more about the victim than their own ulterior motives?

Everyone wants me to shut up and follow orders, but that’s not my style. I’ll do whatever it takes to save this kid—even if that means returning to my roguish roots.
Thoughts on Rogue Ghosts & Other Miscreants: Kit and Lienna are back in business and things are just as chaotic as ever. Or maybe even more chaotic. I mean, the dynamic duo have been tasked by the captain with tracking down a kidnapped kid and nobody can know they're on the case. To make matters worse, the kidnapper is none other than the notorious (and dangerous) Ghost. Except, not really.

Okay, okay, Kit's mancrush (or just crush. I mean, this is Zak of the gloriously defined jawline we're talking about here) on Ghost/Zak is pretty funny. Not only does Zak have dashing good looks, he's also got the whole menacing mysteriousness going on. And Kit LIKES that. Given his mind warping abilities, he could totally work dramatic entrances and exits into his repertoire, right?

Beyond Kit's mancrush, he and Lienna are dealing with a few things beyond this off the books case. Lienna is a firm believer in following orders and keeping things on the up and up while Kit is pretty much a wild card in everything. Kit's inability to grasp how potentially dangerous is power is has Lienna on edge. He pushes things a little too far, she yanks him back across the line. While they do eventually figure it out (and regain some of the trust they need between them), things are a bit touch and go between the partners for a while.

A few familiar faces (Robin! Darius!), new facets of Kit's power, brooding Zak being forced to deal with Kit's off-the-wall humor (HAHAHA. I kinda like the dynamic between those two), and Lienna and Kit doing what they do best. By that I mean, they figure out what needs to be done and somehow make it happen. *thumbs up*
