Synopsis (Goodreads):
Jared MacKade always fights for what’s right. As a kid he was competitive, and that spirit has continued in his career as an attorney. So when a challenge arrives in the form of stubborn single mother Savannah Morningstar, Jared won’t be deterred by her cool and defensive attitude—quite the opposite. Jared is drawn in by the strong woman, and though Savannah is prepared to keep her guard up, Jared knows what he wants. Not only is he interested in Savannah, he’s grown to love her son too. The former bad boy has always longed for a family of his own, and now that he’s found the one woman he wants to come home to, Jared is ready to shed his pride and take a chance on love.
Thoughts on The Pride of Jared MacKade: The next MacKade brother is up and Jared has met his match in Savannah. To start with, she pushes him in ways he never realized he needed and she's not afraid to tell him when he crosses any lines. She's also prickly and defensive and isn't interested in letting someone like Jared close.

Which is problematic for Jared since he's VERY interested in getting close. It isn't long before these two are butting heads as a couple and both Jared and Savannah are doing their best to fight falling too hard and too fast. Not that fighting it helps, but they give it the old college try.

Some verbal foreplay, a kiddo who steals Jared's heart, a small town with deep roots, a man who has to figure out the things that are important to him before he pushes it away entirely, and a lady who is determined to stand on her own no matter what.  The next brother is up and I am HERE for it.
