- Amanda and I are planning to bring some shenanigans to the blogosphere next weekend. That's right: SHENANIGANS! I can promise that we'll be playing in the blog housekeeping sandbox (I want your blogs to SHINE, dammit!) and Amanda is planning to give away a copy of Blog Smarter (her fantastic guide to helping your blog be all it can be!). And... AND we *might* have something fun to share while we're doing all this (No, it's not the #PeenSafari, although that could be arranged). We'll be tweeting with the hashtag #WeBlogSmarter on Twitter (Tweetchat is waiiiiiiting for you to use it!). Join us!
- I had a very fun opportunity present itself this week that cut into my reading time. I don't regret it at all.
- Seriously Series weekly update: I reverted my totals back down to zero (excluding rereads) as of April 1st, so my "since last week" update is a little out of whack. I'm sure you can figure it out.
- Series started in 2013: 2/18 (+2 since last week)
- Series started before 2013: 1/18 (+1 since last week)
- Series rereads: 4/12 (static)
- There were a WHOLE slew of new covers that caught my eye this week (and by 'slew' I mean four. So, yeah.) ... Come Alive (Experiment in Terror #7) by Karina Halle (Dex and Perrrrrry!), The Iron Traitor (The Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten #2) by Julie Kagawa (Holy penetrating eyes, Batman!), Archangel's Legion (Guild Hunter #6) by Nalini Singh (purple!), and Black and Blue (Otherworld Assassin #2) by Gena Showalter (I'm digging the overall composition of this one).
- Oh, hey. Did you see the City of Bones trailer? It's purty. And I think I like it.
- Meanwhile, the FABULOUS Jodi Redford is running a contest on her site where you get to submit suggestions to name the hero of her next That Old Black Magic book. Go! GO!
- Did you meet Amanda's newest Associate Reviewer yet? Jenna makes her triumphant arrival on the red carpet! Go say HI! She barely bites and it's not even hard when she does. *nods*
- And last but not least, a few months ago, I submitted the joint review that Amanda and I did for Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone to a super-sekrit project. It turns out that the blogs who submitted their reviews got mentioned in the paperback copy when it came out. Technically it's Amanda's blog name that is listed, but since it's a joint review, I'm taking a little bit of the coolness and claiming it for my own! Just pretend that says "My
Blogjoint review is on a cool site that is in the Shadow and Bone Paperback"! Boom! Done!
Until next week and all the shenanigans we'll be causing, my lovelies!
Congrats on the mention!!!! Awesomesauce! I hope I'm around for the shenanigans. I tied up a lot this week doing fundraisers for The Kid & Prom for my school.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Amy! I hope you're around, too! We have some THINGS planned. THINGS!
DeleteOh. OH. I'm loving the new EIT cover. It's so dark and moody.
ReplyDeleteI think you've got another interesting opportunity later this week that might cut into your reading time, too. Maybe. I guess it remains to be seen.
Not going to lie, it has TOTALLY grown on me. I'm SUPER excited to see where the story goes, too!
DeleteYes, I do have an interesting opportunity coming up this week. Huh.
