Top Off Tuesday - Clothing optional!

I've decided to join Felicia, Christi and Amanda for their gratuitous shirtless covers on Tuesdays. Because nothing says Tuesday like flashing some skin! Hop over to Felicia's blog to see who else is participating!

Everybody likes NAKED Tuesday, right? 'Cause somebody lost his clothes. Oopsies!

A Ruthless Good by Susan Kelley

As badly as he wants to stay with her, he knows he has to go back and that freeing his people will probably cost him his life. Dragging his courageous savior into the vicious mess that is his society is the last thing he wants.

Clock Rewinders (05/05/13)

Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is the brain child of Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Tara @ 25 Hour Books.  I'm inviting myself to their party (as I sometimes do) because I have so damn much fun reading Amanda's posts that I couldn't help myself.

  • Books added - 7 - Sooooo... I downloaded a bunch of freebies this week and then deleted all the confirmation emails in fit of pique. Don't ask because I don't know why. So... since I'm too lazy to hunt down what I picked up, you get the edited version.

Randomly random in a kinda random way...
  • Amanda needed to write a bio-type thing for an interview and couldn't think of what to say. I, in the spirit of friendship, stepped in to help her out. *ahem* You're welcome, Amanda. You're welcome.
I'm a self-taught ninja who once entered a underground death cage match and came in second. My funeral was well attended by both famous literary characters throughout the ages and my awesome blogging friends. My resurrection back to the land of the living came at a high price -- I found that I was obsessively organized and that I have a penchant for giraffe shifter erotica. I now spend my days wrangling #NakedWerewolves, reviewing books, writing discussion posts, and running read-a-thons. 'Tis a tough life.

  • A HUGE congratulations to Mimi Strong for hitting the USA Today bestseller list with For You. I have a review coming up for this book and I must say that it's a sweet romance that made me smile.
  • Audrey Grace (she of tentacle and monster erotica) gave me a nice shout out at her blog. It makes me all warm and tingly inside.
  • I don't even know what to say about this. Well, except that it's hilariously awkward and slightly brilliant. Oh, and I LOL-ed. Hard. 9 Brilliant Moments of Comedy Hiding on YouTube.
  • OH! And there were some COVERS that came out this week... Champion (Legend #3) by Marie Lu (this reminds me that I need to read Prodigy, like, TODAY!) and Endure (The Protector #3) by M.R. Merrick (the covers for this entire series have been stellar and this one works nicely - also, since I beta read this book I can say with conviction that it fits the story perfectly).

Until next week, my darlings!

I was in the mood for a hunky dude with dog tags. THIS WORKS! I think it's the chiseled jaw and the... pants. OUTSTANDING!
Wild Card (Elite Ops #1) by Lora Leigh
It was supposed to be simple. If he can get back to his wife, can he keep the secret of who he really is…even as desire threatens to consume them? And as danger threatens to tear Bella from Nathan’s arms once more?

Top Off Tuesday - The title says it all!

I've decided to join Felicia, Christi and Amanda for their gratuitous shirtless covers on Tuesdays. Because nothing says Tuesday like flashing some skin! Hop over to Felicia's blog to see who else is participating!

Oh, my! This cover has a lot of good stuff going for it. A LOT OF GOOD (hard) STUFF! *swoon*
The Hard Stuff by Karin Tabke, Bonnie Edwards, Sunny
Karin Tabke, Stakeout. Cool. Calm. Collected. That's gorgeous detective Stevie Cavanaugh. Solo surveillance on a male escort with a taste for dangerous play? No big deal. Until special agent Jack Thornton, the sexiest one-night stand she ever had, shows up to watch the action too - and gets Stevie hotter than hot...

Bonnie Edwards, Bodywork. Lisa Delaney's classic Cadillac coupe needs work and she knows exactly who to call: Tyce Branton. The man has a reputation for making temperamental engines purr like kittens. And when it comes to women, he has some very satisfied customers...

Sunny, Chinatown. NYPD officer Lily Huang is kidnapped by a ruthless gang and held hostage. One man stands between her and her captors - the FBI agent who shares her cell. And desperate pleasure is their only escape.

News from around the blogosphere:
  • Have you guys seen Oberon's HILARIOUS "Sirius speaks" tweets? Well, NO WORRIES because Kevin Hearne has storified them for you... Siruis Speaks, Volume 1 & Siruis Speaks, Volume 2.
  • Stacey Jay wrote a painfully honest post about why she's gone radio silent recently. I have met Stacey in person (beyond just a book signing) and I love her to pieces and I can TOTALLY relate to letting things get to you far beyond where you should. Read her post. Stacey is a beautiful person, inside and out, and I think it's incredibly brave of her to admit that she was brought low by one woman's words and what she had to do to pull herself out of that funk.

  • One time, Amanda said she was going to get a tattoo of my face on her arm. Which is hilariously awesome. The thing is... PEOPLE REALLY DO THIS! (not MY face, mind you)

The Bargain by Julia Templeton
HE SAW...
Saxon beauty Aleysia Cawdor is willing to do anything to protect her dear twin brother during a conquest that could strip her of her everything. Her last resort is to enter into a sensual bargain with her worst enemy, and submit to his brutish ways.

HE CAME...
Never would de Wulf guess the true motives for Aleysia's submission-or where their heated nights would take them.

Faelan has awakened from the time vault ravenous--in more ways than one. He grieves for his lost family, wondering who sent the woman to wake him. If she's a demon, Faelan will have to kill her. • Amanda and I are planning to bring some shenanigans to the blogosphere next weekend. That's right: SHENANIGANS! I can promise that we'll be playing in the blog housekeeping sandbox (I want your blogs to SHINE, dammit!) and Amanda is planning to give away a copy of Blog Smarter (her fantastic guide to helping your blog be all it can be!). And... AND we *might* have something fun to share while we're doing all this (No, it's not the #PeenSafari, although that could be arranged). We'll be tweeting with the hashtag #WeBlogSmarter on Twitter (Tweetchat is waiiiiiiting for you to use it!). Join us!
    • I had a very fun opportunity present itself this week that cut into my reading time. I don't regret it at all.
    • Seriously Series weekly update: I reverted my totals back down to zero (excluding rereads) as of April 1st, so my "since last week" update is a little out of whack. I'm sure you can figure it out.

    • Oh, hey. Did you see the City of Bones trailer? It's purty. And I think I like it.
    • Meanwhile, the FABULOUS Jodi Redford is running a contest on her site where you get to submit suggestions to name the hero of her next That Old Black Magic book. Go! GO!
    • Did you meet Amanda's newest Associate Reviewer yet? Jenna makes her triumphant arrival on the red carpet! Go say HI! She barely bites and it's not even hard when she does. *nods*
    • And last but not least, a few months ago, I submitted the joint review that Amanda and I did for Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone to a super-sekrit project. It turns out that the blogs who submitted their reviews got mentioned in the paperback copy when it came out. Technically it's Amanda's blog name that is listed, but since it's a joint review, I'm taking a little bit of the coolness and claiming it for my own! Just pretend that says "My Blog joint review is on a cool site that is in the Shadow and Bone Paperback"! Boom! Done!

Until next week and all the shenanigans we'll be causing, my lovelies!

Holy smokes. It's not wonder I've had a bit of a thing for Highlanders lately. Sword, muscles, nips, and his plaid. DELICIOUS!
Highland Obsession (Connected Books #1) by Dawn Halliday
In the Scottish Highlands, two warriors are about to clash over a woman of passion...

They were the unlikeliest of friends debauching their way through London: The Earl of Camdonn, a nobleman of vast wealth and power, and Scottish laird Alan MacDonald, a respected Jacobite with ambitions of his own.

But their friendship is destroyed when Alan marries the beautiful Sorcha Stewart—only to witness Cam kidnap her from their bedroom. Then Alan learns the truth: his bride was not an innocent. She took a lover before him—his friend—who taught her the ways of pleasure.

Now, Alan will do anything to get his wife back. Cam fights to redeem his honor, even as he refuses to give up his desire. Torn between love and duty, Sorcha must watch as the two men she desires go to war over her. And when the battle lines are drawn, all three lovers are lured into a triangle of forbidden passions…
