Reading the Paranormal Week in Review

- Top Off Tuesday - Hot dude alert!
- Review: Elemental Fire by K.D. Grace - Another series that I'm sad to see the end of.
- Review: Edgewood by Karen McQuestion - I liked the book for the most part. There was just a small case of rage-eyes at the end.

- Discussion Post: When you find that perfect series - *hugs it so hard*

- Here's a treat for you... Kevin Hearne interviews Luke Daniels, the narrator of his Iron Druid audiobooks. The dude is hilarious. And awesome. He's awesomely hilarious. With a side of FUN! GO FORTH AND READ IT!
- If you've read Rachel Caine's Morganville Vampires series, you might want to hop on over and help fund the Kickstarter to bring the Web TV series to life. Or unlife. Whatever those vampires are. I'm in the middle (more like nearing the end) of a full series re-read and I loooooove these books. They're fun and sassy with a heroine that's smarter than the average college age kid. <3 <3 <3
- The big screen adaptation of Gayle Forman's If I Stay looks like it's found a new home at MGM. That book made me cry, dudes. CRY. What's the movie going to do to me?
- HOLY CRAP! If you haven't seen Ryan Hansen's (aka Dick Casablancas from Veronica Mars) thank you video to the backers of the VM Kickstarter campaign for making the movie happen... HAHAHAHAHA! HERE IT IS! No, seriously. You need to watch this.
- This isn't exactly new but it made me LOL so... 8 New and Necessary Punctuation Marks We Desperately Need.
- And on another grammarly note, Amanda tells us why Two Spaces Between Sentences is the Mullet of Typing Rules. Heh. Mullets. Business in the front, party in the back. But seriously, do YOU know how the two spaces rule came about? Amanda does and she's going to show you why it's no longer necessary.
- Posts like this are the reason I'm so freaking neurotic - Why No One Should Mess With the Ocean. DON'T GO INTO THE OCEAN! HORRIBLE MONSTROUS THINGS LIVE THERE! *runs and hides*
- This week's Sync freebies:
- The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater
- Bless Me, Ultima by Rudolfo Anaya
I watched Ryan Hansen's video again yesterday. And laughed. And then I watched over Veronica Mars move videos AND I NEED MOAR VERONICA MARS IN MY LIFE.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever see the one they did FOR the Kickstarter campaign? FREAKING AWESOME! *goes back to watch it again*
DeleteI am NOT a water person, despite being a Pisces. I'm fine with pools and the shallow parts of oceans or lakes (like, on a beach where they clear it out and you can see your feet), but I am NOT going in anywhere else. I do like boats ...
ReplyDeleteHa! I don't go near the water normally, either. But that's mostly because I feel what treated water will do to my colorful hair. And also because GIANT MONSTROUS CREATURES LIVE IN THE DEPTHS!
DeleteOh my god, that ocean thing is crazy. And amazing.
ReplyDeleteI knooooooow. I loved the picture that showed the difference between the size of us and the size of the ocean. INSANE!
