Synopsis (Goodreads):
You’d think a billion dollars, a professional hockey team and a six-bedroom mansion on the Promenade would satisfy a guy. You’d be wrong.

For seven years Rebecca has brightened my office with her wit and her smile. She manages both my hockey team and my sanity. I don’t know when I started waking in the night, craving her. All I know is that one whiff of her perfume ruins my concentration. And her laugh makes me hard.

When Rebecca gets hurt, I step in to help. It’s what friends do. But what friends don’t do is rip off each others’ clothes for a single, wild night together.

Now she’s avoiding me. She says we’re too different, and it can never happen again. So why can’t we keep our hands off each other?
Thoughts on Brooklynaire: Nate and Rebecca, people. NATE AND REBECCA. Like some of Nate's Bruisers, I'm going to say it's about time those two figured things out and broke the seal on their relationship. So to speak. IT'S ABOUT TIME.

A billionaire who has his hands in a lot of different pies (but not the pie he MOST wants to be in, if you know what I mean!), it looks like Nate has it all on the surface. And in some ways, that's true. But he's also lonely and desperately in love with Becca. Which is a teeny, tiny bit problematic since she's his employee. Sort of.

On her end, Rebecca doesn't catch all the clues Nate lets slip because she's determined not to be "that girl" who sleeps with her boss. So she smiles and does her thing and ignores any simmering sexual tension she might feel.

Good thing Lauren's there to metaphorically junk-punch Nate and get things moving. That doesn't solve everything, but it gets them moving in the right direction and that's DEFINITELY a good thing.

I'm loving the entire Bruisers organization from the players to the owner to the people behind the scenes who give their everything to this team. Mad love, guys. MAD LOVE.
