Synopsis (Goodreads):
After I'm arrested for throwing a raucous party, my hockey team says I have an image problem. And I need to fix it, stat.

Charity work? Check. Haircut? Sure. But I draw the line at hiring my neighbor to style me. In the first place "style" shouldn't be a verb. And I'm tired of people who'd judge me on appearances.

Vera and I don't see eye to eye on anything. She wants me to try on clothes, while I just want to remove hers. She's distractingly pretty, with soulful eyes and a sinful mouth that likes to argue with me.

But when management threatens my summer vacation, I grudgingly agree to Vera's unusual proposal: she'll give me an image makeover. But in return, she wants lessons in the art of seduction.

It sounds a little nutty, but I know a good opening when I hear it. Besides, it's not like I'll ever fall for her...
Thoughts on Love Lessons: It's time for Ian and Vera to find their happy places and HEH. Ian's sort of the team's hot mess (for reasons!) and Vera is a mess of battered self-esteem and high fashion. They DO NOT see eye to eye on a lot of things, but they connect very well on a lot of physical levels.

But before the connecting, we have Vera awkwardly asking Ian for lessons in seduction so she can show her ex what he's lost out on. Which...doesn't quite go as either of them expect. For one, like an professional athlete, Ian is extremely focused when he needs to be. And teaching Vera how to seduce a man is something he gives his all to. For another, Vera isn't the shallow fashionista Ian initially thinks she is. As he learns more about her, her genuine kindness and big heart comes shining through.

As for Vera, she goes out of her way to spruce Ian up. Except it's not really going out of her way. She enjoys the challenge his issues present (from a fashion standpoint) and falls hard for the man who builds her up a piece at a time with his patience and attention.

An Italian vacation, a whole lot of couples, an image makeover, a killer dress, and two people who figure things out in the best possible way. *thumbs up*
