Synopsis (Goodreads):
What I meant to do in Vegas: Let my hair down for once and celebrate winning a medal at my first women’s hockey all-stars competition.

What I actually did: Got senior prom drunk and woke up married to Brooklyn’s star winger, the great Neil Drake.

He’s the heir to a billion dollars, and I barely survived my childhood. Our friendship is based strictly only on hockey, takeout food and smack talk.

And now holy matrimony. Although we both know it can’t last, especially once his evil family gets wind of our Vegas shenanigans…

Contains: Meddling teammates, meddling parents, ugly jewelry and a pretend-kiss that nearly sets the world on fire.
Thoughts on Shenanigans: Okay. The VERY rich hockey player and the lady whose default setting it to come in with her fists up and her armor in place. Neil and Charli are from two very different worlds and (in Charli's head) they don't fit AT ALL together. I mean, Neil is private jets and expensive hotel rooms. Charli's rat trap of an apartment is barely fit for humans.

AND YET...they work. Nicely. I mean, yeah, Charli fights it HARD, but it was part reflexive instinct and part bafflement at how the richer half live and how Neil could want her. On Neil's end, he's looking for a way to wrest a little control from his uncle in the boardroom. He likes Charli more than he wants to admit and his sudden marriage isn't the hardship for him she seems to think it is.

While the two of them work to outmaneuver Neil's uncle, their fake relationship starts to look very real. You know, even though Charli is FIGHTING her feelings tooth and nail.

A team (or two) of familiar faces, sexy times in a limo, a lot of rough family dynamics, and ONLY ONE BED (plus one supremely uncomfortable couch). GLORIOUS!
