Thoughts on The Other Half of the Grave: Ahh, yes. Cat and Bones. Having just finished a reread of the series, it felt downright PERFECT to dive into Bones' side of the story. I mean, we know Cat wasn't enamored of Bones at first sight, but the same can't be said for the sly, dangerous vampire.

He had a pretty strong inkling what Cat could come to mean to him after watching her kill that first vampire.

He had to keep his infatuation under lock and key, however, because Cat was nowhere near ready to consider him as anything but a brutal monster. So he poked her and prodded her and made her a better fighter so (a) she'd survive the career path she was determined to pursue and (b) he could show her that not all vampires were murderous monsters.

And it worked! Bones got under Cat's skin. Cat wormed her way into Bones' heart. They're a glorious bloody mess and BOY was it nice to see how Bones worked and schemed to show Cat just how much he loved her. GOOD STUFF!
