Synopsis (Goodreads):
As Miss Marple sat basking in the Caribbean sunshine, she felt mildly discontented with life. True, the warmth eased her rheumatism, but here in paradise nothing ever happened.

Eventually, her interest was aroused by an old soldier’s yarn about a murderer he had known. Infuriatingly, just as he was about to show her a snapshot of this acquaintance, the Major was suddenly interrupted. A diversion that was to prove fatal.
Thoughts on A Caribbean Mystery: Miss Marple is enjoying a much needed rest in the Caribbean thanks to her nephew Raymond West. He, of course, wanted her to relax, soak in the sun, and enjoy herself as only a lady of gentle means can. He likely didn't expect her to end up solving some crime and be at the heart of stopping a murderer from striking again.

But, then, Miss Marple has never been one to sit idly by when bad things happen. She steps in and looks around and see things that maybe others wouldn't consider. And in her gentle, fluttery way she begins to put things together.

This time around, she does have an ally of sorts. A man who is quick and smart, but limited by what his body can do. She and Mr. Rafiel team up after she surprises him with her insights and together they manage to solve some crime. Good stuff all around!
