Synopsis (Goodreads):
I suffer from resting bitch face (RBF).

It’s sad but true. As a result, I turn people away. I’m not exactly bubbly and friendly.

This is probably why my lonely job as a private investigator is perfect for my skill set. Usually, I’m very good at what I do. I get the job done and move on. But my latest assignment has thrown me for a loop. The satanic-looking Hyrrokin biologist I’ve been tracking has gotten under my skin. Sir Bane Ashmoor has become much more than a job. Through my telescopic lens, I can literally see my future unborn children in his deadly eyes.

I’m full-on stalking this monstrous guy as he charts the migration of fire-beasts, spending countless unbillable hours in the wildlands, watching his every attractive move. What is wrong with me?

When I trip and break my ankle my hot target finds me with my ass in the dirt, doing the full-on ugly cry. And he lifts me in his massive red arms and carries me back to his tent! He’s caring for me and I think he really likes me. Basically, it’s a dream come true.

But what happens when Bane discovers he’s brought his stalker home?

And he finds out who I really am, what I really do and who I work for?

*cries*
Thoughts on His Human Stalker: It's Sir Bane Ashmoor's turn to find his special human lady-friend and she's got a few stalker-ish tendencies. Sort of. Other than breaking into his house that ONE time, really, she's not that bad. I mean, all the picture taking and following his every move in the wildlands was for a job. Mostly.

Anywho. Let's talk less about Amelia's stalker-lite leanings and more about Bane and Amelia as a couple. I mean, Bane falls for Amelia hard. Even though he finds her hurt and crying and he's not normally one to allow anyone into his work site, he's sort of smitten by her. And by "sort of" I mean A LOT. He gets all tangled up in his feelings and suddenly he realizes why his brother was willing to nearly throw everything aside for his human honey. Because when it hits you, it hits you.

As for Amelia, she's used to being unseen and slipping through the cracks. Given her line of work, this is normally a good thing. She's also used to creatively explaining her way out of situations in the rare instances she does get caught and it's almost second nature for her to shield herself. Which Bane doesn't love. But, again, he's kind of caught feelings for Amelia and it doesn't bother him as much as you might think.

A little danger, a very rainy interlude, fire-breathing, cuddly fire-beasts, and another couple who fall fast and hard. Good stuff.
