Synopsis (Goodreads):
Everyone says humans are safe on Risda III.

Yeah, right.

I was taken from Earth years ago and I’ve learned one thing - a flawed human is a dead human. So I keep my flaws to myself, and I focus on running my farm.

At least, I try to. But when I (accidentally) burn the barn down, one of the local officials shows up to help me put it out. And when Khex learns my secrets, he decides that he’ll keep them…

If I’ll go out on a date with him.

Oh, this is going to end badly.
Thoughts on When She's Lonely: It's Khex's turn to find his special someone and I AM HERE FOR IT. (Let's be fair, though, I'm ALWAYS down with more Risda III matches. That it's Khex is just a bonus because he was a hoot when Rektar and Lucy were fumbling their way toward a relationship.)

That said, Khex and Ashley! He's NOT taken with her from the first. In fact, he thinks she's a little dumb and has no desire to make anything of herself. It's only after he learns her secret that all the pieces come together and he starts to understand why she does the things she does.

As for Ashley, she's wary and scared and very, very lonely. Given what she's experienced during her captivity in the past, trusting someone isn't in her wheelhouse. So when Khex figures out what's holding her back, she kind of freaks. And then she doesn't. Because Khex is a good guy who it true to his word.

As it turns out, the more time these two spend together, the more they like what they see. It just takes a little kick in the proverbial pants for them to realize they BOTH want more than just friendship.

How much do I adore these big, blue aliens and their feisty humans? SO MUCH.
