Synopsis (Goodreads):
Varrik va’Rin is the lord of an ancient noble house. On Homeworld Kes, his bloodlines are unparalleled and he wields an incredible amount of political and social clout. He’s used to getting what he wants.

So when he sees the strange, delicate human known as Milly, he decides he wants her. And he’ll do anything to have her, reputation be damned.
Thoughts on Pretty Human: No lie, I had no idea how much I wanted a Homeworld story until I started reading Varrik's book. The Mesakkah home planet is stifling and structured and it's no wonder these Mesakkah end up falling for humans so often. Basically humans are everything Homeworld isn't.

As for Varrik and Milly, he's smitten with her the first time he lays eyes on her. Which is unfortunate since she's been procured for someone else. Have no fear, however, because what noble of the va'Rin house wants, he gets. And he wants Milly.

He's also a perfect gentleman. For all he's basically her master, he treats her with respect and consideration and doesn't allow anyone else to belittle her either. Which is sweeeeet and puts Milly in the awkward position of pointing out that her being with him is causing social problems for him. As in, instead of building contacts at this party they're at, he's being looked at oddly for his taste in alien flesh.

I sincerely adore these aliens and their complete fascination and focus on their special human. Am I down for more Homeworld stories? INDEED, I AM. So much.
