Synopsis (Goodreads):
To get amnesty on a remote farm planet, ex-con Tassar has to marry an alien – specifically, a strange looking creature called a ‘human’. When he sees gorgeous, delicate Leilani, though, all of his plans change. He wants more than just a marriage of convenience. He wants her forever, but only when she’s ready.
Thoughts on When She's Ready: I originally listened to this through the RMR podcast and, since I absolute LOVE everything Mesakkah (those big, blue aliens know how to bring the charm, man!), I snapped this book up as soon as it was available. Because I'm always down to read about these aliens and their human-loving ways.

Tassar is everything I expect from the Mesakkah. He might be coming from a rough place, but he's a gentleman, through and through. While he has a few doubts initially about binding himself to a human female, he changes his mind in a big way as soon as he sees Leilani.

Instead of the expected marriage of convenience, he's ALL IN. Protective instincts engaged.

As for Leilani, she's not thrilled about needing to take anyone on as a protector, but she's in a tough situation and, as it turns out, she REALLY likes what she sees when presented with Tassar. It might take her a while to really commit to him, but she has no issues with the way the guy looks.

Aliens loving humans is my thang, man, and these aliens love HARD and I am so here for that!
