Synopsis (Goodreads):
On Risda III, it’s custom for women to marry for convenience. It provides safety and security in a universe that offers none for humans.

Me, I don’t really *need* a husband. I just want one. And I want one man in particular. There’s a new guy in town, a by-the-books military man named Rektar. Every day I show up to his office and flirt with him. I bring pies. I twirl my hair. I make it very, very obvious what I want.

Rektar is patient, and gentle for all his hulking form. He’d be a great husband. He’s also completely clueless that I’m flirting with him.

So it’s time for me to be a little bit bolder…
Thoughts on When She's Bold: I genuinely adore these big, blue aliens and Rektar doesn't disappoint. He's big. He's blue. He's sweetly tongue-tied and deeply awkward around Lucy. And he absolutely doesn't think he'd have a chance with a woman like her. Or any woman, really. Our boy has some baggage he's lugging around and Lucy's subtle clues she's interested are rolling right off his massive shoulders.

So she sets out to be a little more forward. Which works in a BIG way, as it turns out. HA.

Anywho. Lucy didn't have the terrible experience most of the other human women on Risda III had in her abduction and captivity. She's definitely not afraid of Rektar for all he's an alien. In fact, she wants the big guy in her life permanently. A little white lie, a little boldness, and she gets just that.

Big, blue, utterly devoted Rektar and a HEA to call her own. *thumbs up*
